Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

My eyes hurt.

They literally hurt. I have gotten next to no sleep these last few days.

Christmas weekend was wonderful. Perfect. Fantastic. Whimsical. BUSY.

Twas a wonderful time with my family doing all the Christmasy things: board games, Xmas movies, Holiday food, Spiked Egg Nog, Music, Company, Parties

*cough* photo shoots w/ the Dog on Xmas Eve & Day... *cough*

And a great time at a local pub with my friends, listening to music fireside with a few brewskis. Only downside was the missing Boy as he was in his hometown this week. Boohoo!

We capped off the weekend with a trip to Mt. Hood on Sunday for a day (and night) of Skiing with my Dad, Bro and Sis.

(ABOVE: In all my skiing gear!)

(ABOVE: On the Chair Lift with my Little Brother. BELOW: My Sis & Me at top of Mtn. I'm in the Pink!)

My Bro is the only Boarder of the group but our skills and speed level remain very close. Also because I like to do jumps (& as a Skier, that's a bit trickier), I use shorter skis which allow me to move faster and better in terrain. I can't tell you how much I love Skiing in Oregon in the Winter.

As far as Xmas presents go, I got a great amount of items. However, with me moving out into a new apartment in the coming months- I was bombarded with gifts for my new home because most of the stuff I have here, is my Roomy's. Thus my Christmas stash of expensive pots, pans, kettles and cocktail&wine glasses looked a bit like the aftermath of a Bridal shower (minus the Groom and the Toilet-Paper-Bride remnants of course).

Though what I really wanted for Christmas was to find a way to look like this on New Year's Eve:

(Image found here.)

So... I have 3 days to figure that one out!

Looking forward to catching up on all your Blogs tomorrow morning!

Also, logging in tonight meant Christmas had come AGAIN as I was the lucky winner of Leah's giveaway! I am so stoked!! The Prize was a chic reusable bag! You don't even know how happy that makes me. As seen below of an Xmas day picture, I LOVE, LOVE LOVE reusable bags and just discovered them this year. Faboosh! Thank you Leah!

Sweet Dreams!

What a fantastic weekend you had! Glad all went well. It is always a joy when we are able to "hit the slopes", so to speak! I simply must get out there this year!

By the way, who is taking most of these pictures? They seem to be beautifully framed to capture your very essence! I wanted to give credit where credit is due....simply marvelous!

You look so cute in all the snow gear! I wish my Arizona butt could do this but all that snow and athleticism would be a volatile combination for me!

Caitlin hi,
Now who says you wont look as good as her on new years eve, remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. From the pics I have seen of you, you look as good as her any day.

Skiing?? afraid I will break my neck, but |I love to watch, looks very exciting. Now you see, you are an excellent skier, but can Kim ski? I bet not and if she can, I'd bet not as good as you...!

Be grateful for the talents you have, and remember, Kim only looks so good coz she pays thousands of dollars to make up artists etc, etc. let her remover all of that paint, and I'd also bet you look better without make up than she does.

Hope your new year will start with a bang and I hope you are going to take pics of you so we can all vote on who looks better, you or Kim.

Best wishes and take care.
Colin.
