Target, I think we need to see other people.

Oh, the indecency of Target.

I have never left Target without spending less than $40.00 - I don't think evvvverrrrr.

What pulls me in? Is it the Red everywhere and the ugly but effective bullseye logo? Is it the ease in which you can travel from Necklaces to CDs?

I couldn't tell you if the issue is something wrong with me or something very right with Target's marketing ploy but I CAN'T go in there without feeling robbed after...how I loathe that store!

Anyway, enough about HATING Target. Let's discuss how much I friggin' LOVE this store- how does it have every fun thing to purchase right there in front of me?

So a few days ago I went in there for Pens. Yes. Pens. Yes- a few things to write with...but going into Target for Pens is impossible. There was not a chance in hell I would emerge from that store with just 3 pens for about $4 bucks.

No way. No how.

MY SHOPPING LIST:

  • Pens

MY PURCHASES:

  • BLACK/WHITE STRIPE KNIT GLOVES

  • FINGERLESS GLOVES (love these PS)

  • NECKLACE

  • TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK

  • CETAPHIL

  • TANK TOP

  • MAGAZINES

  • TYLENOL

  • CANDLE HOLDER

  • WALL MIRROR

What did I not purchase????

PENS!!!!

Target and Me are in a Facebook relationship... and it's COM-PLI-CATED.

Ha ha ha - you need to go to an SA meeting (shopaholic anonymous)!!
I agree, its easy to do in Target. Everything you could possibly want and more within arms reach!

Oh, I so love you Caitlin! I suffer from the same problem. I really shouldn't be allowed to go to Target anymore. Somehow I always end up leaving with sunglasses, scarves, bracelets, and tops that were definitely not a part of my shopping list. Target is the devil - yet I love it so! By the way, cute gloves - I think I need to go buy a few pairs!!! :)

totally understand the love/hate relationship with target! I always walk out with a bunch of things I had no intention of buying!

Love the stuff you got, though. Especially the necklace.

Target gets me EVERY time. I don't know what vortex I fall into, but I go in for diapers and come out with four bags o' shizit. I don't get it.

HAHAHA! So funny you cant get out of Traget w/o spending at least $40...Im the SAME way! I went yesterday with a good friend and got a realllll cute dress (from the clearance section!) yoga pants, cards, holiday stickers, holiday candy, a pretty lacy bra and magazines...lol! All totally necessities!

Totally sounds like my Target experiences. I have had to change my habits...hubby always asks, "Why did you pay X for those paper towels (insert any item for paper towels)...Target has them on sale"...I say, "Yes but at Target they will actually cost you $150.00."

PS- Blogging is scary...I read things and think of other bloggers!...I went to the Fashion Institute of design and Merchandising and just got my alumni newsletter (and it is about how "Blog is the New Black") and there are a ton of fashion-type blogs in there...you interested in checking out any new blogs?

Oh how I wish Target could only get me for $40!! How do you control it to only forty bucks? I'm a little scared, as tomorrow is payday and I have the Target itch! I'll let you know what I come home with, no list, endless spending!

This is too funny and so true. Can't believe you forgot the pens. Last night I went to target for some pantyhose and $62.00 later I left but I did get the pantyhose as well as other crap I didn't need!

Ha ha ha, you are hilarious! I know what you mean, Target is a great con artist, that is for sure. They love to suck all of your money away and you go in there getting one thing and come out with several and then forget why you were there in the first place!

MissNeira said...

Haha this is hilarious! I love target too, I usually stay in there for a good 2 hours and leave with a burtsbees chaptstick *dont ask haha
