NYE: a 2010 recap

Well...NYE is O-V-E-R.

SNAP! Actually lackthereof as my camera decided to stop working midway through NYE so not much "snapping" going on minus shoddy camera phone pics.

How was everyone's New Years? What'd you do?

Kick it with your significant otha?

Chill with the the litte lovebugs of your life?

Rock out with your girls (or boys)?

Or just stick with the family??

I spent the evening with some guy friends, some gizzity Gal Pals (I couldn't tell you why I sometimes love putting "izzz" into the middle of words) and some of their Boyfriends. It was a fun group and I had a pretty good time, even though, as previously mentioned The Boy wasn't in town. :(

{Miranda and Me, sporting the NYE hats.}

OUTFIT: So... my plan was to have a nice little quick picture of my outfit but since my camera died, I had to resort to lame0 self-taken Mirror pictures. What can you do? Anyway, they didn't turn out that great but I wore a black dress with a big, sewn-in black Bow at the top.

{Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, who is the stupidest girl of all?}

It was fairly simple, especially for NYE, but I felt comfortable in it and I loved the dress. Though, I'm realizing now you can't even see the bow in these cameraphone pictures. Boooo.

MAKEUP: One of my favorite things about big nights out is false eyelashes. I love them and I think they're so ridiculously fun for when you're getting dressed-up: having an excuse to wear them is kind of the best thing in the world. I also tried, in vain, to wear those pink clip-in hair extensions, only to find they are just too darn Rock of Love. So I didn't actually wear them out.

{On the Left with the Pink Clip-In hair extension... didn't make it out of the house with it in. On the Right, my crummy picture hoping to capture my purple eye makeup- based after this here.}

So this is the only picture I got before the camera shutdown. Me and my beautiful friends before we headed off to Kells in downtown PDX for food, drinks and dancing.

{Jenna, Miranda, Shanin, Me, Carly, Elena, Tracy and Kim before hitting the town.}

So now it's 2010. Gulp. Sigh. Phew.

{Shanin and Me, NYE 2009}

Though, I have lots of Resolutions instead of boring you all- I will just declare one that I really hope to be better at:

Getting "Thank You" cards out in a timely manner.

Also... I'm bummed the Ducks lost the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day but it was a solid game and both teams put up a good fight. My goofy, hilarious friend Jordan took this picture during the Rose Bowl and when I asked him if I could use it on my Blog he responded with "It would be my Honor Caitie." What a nice friend.

{Jordan supporting The Ducks during the Rose Bowl game. He loves his ducks.}

In conclusion: Go Ducks!, Happy NYE and I hope you all had a good one! :)

Hahahaha! You are adorable even if you're doing those mirror rock it Caitlin.

I use false eyelashes too during night-outs but last NYE, I was with family. Although we did check-in in one of the fab hotels here in Manila, age is just getting to me. I can no longer stay put listening to the band and all the noise around. So, I went to the spa and spent two hours there. I went back to the NYE countdown after the spa. I'm just so old and boring. Hahaha!

Ah what a pity we can't see the bow detail on your dress! For some reason I just love those subtle or not so subtle bow-touches on clothing! have just bought a super pretty body with a little bow in front yesterday, LOVE it!

p.s. The photos of Moscow in my blog were taken by a friend of mine who visited that past summer, and yes, I am in Moscow - was born here and still reside here!

I've decided that you need a button, so I can add you to my permanent blogroll! I forget to go to my dashboard and look you up and that bums me out! You're just too cute and I loved the NYE outfit (wish I was still cute to pull that off, but I still DO pull off the fake eyelashes!) PS: when you figure out how to make a button, will you please help me do one? THANKS! Happy New year!
