Almost a week til my Sis' wedding which means it is go...go... go! I threw her Bridal Shower on Sunday and once I have time to get those pics on the computer, I will share a few because it was a lot of work but turned out beautiful :)
But, in the spirit of going to bed- here's a little about my life today:
Yesterday, I got my pre-wedding hair did and grew to love dark hair all over again:
All ready to be the Maid-of-Honor next weekend-also, I went against my post about how I love heavy eye makeup with this picture but as I stated- I have been so busy I haven't even had time to do my makeup!
I am so enjoying the dark hair. Blondies- dont' be offended about my next comment because I plan on rejoining that club in a couple months/switch from dark to light hair numerous times a year: but really, unless you've had dark hair, you have no idea how healthy and wonderful a good, solid, deep, rich dark dye job feels- bleach just can't reciprocate the euphoria.
I let my Mom make me some of her to-die-for quiche.
{I always love her presentation as well- thanks for the food and laughs Mommy-a}
I organized some frames:
I was packing all of these frames I have and got super excited for my new art wall when I move. I've purchased these over the years on purpose so when I move, I will have an eclectic wall inspired by many, many different colors and designs.
I watched my friends' dogs- they had just gotten a puppy.
{I couldn't resist taking pictures of them!}
I finally loaded some pics of me a few weeks back exploring downtown Portland:
{Me being shagadelic}
And... I came to the conclusion that the United States really needs a TopShop.
Update: the lovely Leah informed me we do have one in NYC- why, oh, why did I not know this when I was in NYC last September!
{I want!}
Bare with me a little longer...weekend after this is the wedding so I will be so busy. I hope to get the Bridal Shower post up in a couple days!
I hope life is grand!

You have Topshop in NYC right? That's one thing you'll envy about Manila, we have a lot of Topshop stores here. Yes, Manila in the Philippines (a third world country at that). Hahaha!
I love your hair, it really suits you well. You look fabulous.
Have a great day! xoxo
Brunettes DO do better!
Your hair looks fabulous!
..he he I like the title of your post , it reminded me of my 100 years old t-shirt in my wardrobe : ))) with writing 'brunettes do it better ' ..
I'm about dark hair as well , I love all the brown shades ..my dream hair is black but not everybody suits them so I keep only my natural colour but probably I will start to color them soon for the high gloss : )
your hair looks wonderful , perfect lenght and shade ..
I love the brown hair! It's so awesome you can pull off both looks so well. When I used to dye my hair brown, it would always feel so silky and soft. That topshop top is adorable. I wish we had one here in the US too. Or if their shipping prices would better I'd be happy! $15 flat rate is a bit steep :(
Hehe I like how you said you got your hair 'did'. The colour is pretty, congrats on your wedding :o)
Lola Re
your hair looks fab xxxxx

Eep! So exciting! Less than a week till the wedding! SO FUN!
What does your dress look like? What are her colours?
Your hair looks NICE!!!
LOL: what, you LOVE to HATE gladiator sandals, or what? ;)

Fabulous post! Love all the great pics!
I Love your hair!! looks like youve been busy busy. Can't wait to see the pics from your sisters wedding . Off to subscribe to your blog :)
Yes brunettes do! I concur!!!
Loving the dark on you AND no makeup. You look gorgeous a la natural.
Oh I love this shade of brown, the color looks great on you and I love the natural make up look too :) The food looks delish, even if I'm not really sure what exactly that is lol I like all teh colorful frames too, I'm sure it would make for a great wall memorabilia once you move and have the wall all decorated with those frames!
Have fun being busy ;-)
your hair looks fantatstic and girl your body is fierce...I think you just became my inspiration! And the style and flair and coold craftiness?? Can I grow up to be you?? lol
I love your hair, very pretty and long! Do you have extensions, ha ha, sorry to ask that but I'm curious! Hope you are having fun with all of your sister's events. :) Top Shop is the best, I agree.
As a brunette myself, I have to say you look fabulous!! And you're right, so much richer and healthier. Oh, and make sure you take lots of pictures at the wedding, we want to see how the hair and dress look :-)
You look gorgeous with either hair color - though I do love you as a brunette!
Let the countdown to the wedding begin!! :)
I love weddings. I know you'll love your Sis' wedding and reception once the frantic preparations are done. Love the pics from portland. The rail you're leaning over reminds me of a scene with"Mark" in it in the movie "Love Actually" with Dido's "Here With Me" playing in the background. Since I live outside of Manhattan I'll have to take a gander and see if there's a Top Shop around here. Love your hair.
I can't wait for the Bridal Shower post! I wanna see the pictures!
Love your hair, by the way!
Your hair looks so shiny and gorgeous! And yes, you must go to NYC to go to TopShop! :)
I love you with less makeup. You look so beautiful! I also really like the dark hair. I agree, it's a great feeling to have your hair freshly colored :)
Wow, you look gorg with minimal makeup and natural hair! I'm super excited to see photos of the wedding and also your wall when you hang up your frames - I LOVE that look. So classy!
Love the hair! & all the picture frames. I have so many in boxes waiting for me to move. Seriously, it is a problem, I compulsively buy them but I love them too much!! 8)
Beautiful pictures, love the dark hair :)
Loving the dark hair, Caitlin!! I know what you mean, there's nothing like a rich dark hue. Blonde looks good too, but I have to admit I like sexy brunette more!!
I love the dark hair - I have always been blonde...so don;t know how that feels...and probably won't try it...but you can rock light or dark! You are one busy lady! Have fun!
Oooooh, those frames look so great together!!
Ah! Your life is so exciting atm!!
I'd say "natural" does it better. Natural blondes can work the blonde, whereas brunettes can't. But vice versa too - blondes can't work the brunette. I think fake blondes just don't work full stop. Fake brunettes can get away with it, but they don't have the real brunette attitude!
I bought a fabulous necklace there when I was in NYC. I wish they had one closer. Loving the hair lady!
I REALLY REALLY want to take a trip to Portland!
looks GORGEOUS...
oh and one last thing.
I am a blonde,
not by nature, but chemical ha.]
and I DO know exactly what you mean with the difference in coloring your hair dark.It does feel SO SOOOO much better.
I think your hair dark brings out your pretty skin tone!
You should leave it brown:]
Love your blog...super cute!
I used to be a bleach blonde too! So I understand the healthier hair feeling! Also I love the frames I have a lot too I'm a picture taking freak!
Oh and I really really wanted to show the wedding dress but I can't trust Brian not to go on and look maybe I'll make him sigh a contract or something so I can show you!
Cheers to dark hair!!! Even though I never have, thank goodness, been a blonde, I know the feeling of an amazing dye job. I also love that dress from TopShop!!!! Today while walking around the Village I walked by the TopShop in NYC!!!
stay classy lady,
madeleine

I cannot wait to dye my hair again. You are so right about the healthy look of brunette hair. And it suits you so well. I remember the first times on your blog I was really irritated because there were so many pics of you with totally different hair colours, haha.
Wishing you a wonderful Easter
