Roger: Conservative Meets Badass

Hi, Hi, Hi!

I feel like a chicken with my head cut off - No idea what's going on but still running around like crazy.

{My Muse does the Chicken look better than I do}

In the Month of March, I will be crazily planning/hosting my Sister's Bachelorette Party... followed by planning/hosting her Bridal Shower for her early April wedding.

On top of that, I'm finding a new apartment to move into shortly after the Wedding thus I'm packing up my apartment of over 3 years. I'm also pursuing a variety of professional endeavors and it's just going to be the busiest month I have had in a long, long, long time.

I am hoping I will be able to post a few times a week (if not more), but we will see how the month goes. Just know if I seem vacant for a bit it's not because I'm gone, I'm just off being a Maid-of-Honor who needs to find a new home a.k.a. CRAZY BUSY.

Despite the drama of my current life, I had a wonderful weekend! Partly due to my own "Roger". Yes- all true-blue "Sex & the City" fans know who Roger is...

Miss Carrie Bradshaw's famed belt (named Roger) in the "Sex & the City" movie. Now, no- I did not buy THAT belt- either in authentic form or Patricia Field's knockoff available for $120.

{Carrie Bradshaw and LC- I die in fashion heaven}

I found my own version at Buffalo Exchange for... get this... wait for it... drum roll... Jeopardy song...

$6 dollars.

I adore it. My version has a bit more ghetto-flair with a wider belt and more studs but I think it's so fun to wear. I managed to double-dip it this weekend actually...

{Megan, Kristi, Tracy, Shanin and Me & Roger}

On Friday night, Roger and I attended the birthday soiree of my best friend's Mom. They're the kind of fun family who always has social gatherings- I don't know anyone like 'em! Anyway, because it was a party with "adults". I wanted to wear something a bit more conservative. So I went with one my favorite go-to dresses: Navy Blue, High Neck, Cap Sleeves, Ruched neckline.

{I can't aim but at least you can see Roger!}

It's not something I would say typically goes with a Roger belt- but I do believe that is the point of Roger. Patricia Field adorned Carrie throughout the movie in outfits that Roger traditionally wouldn't go with but somehow looked good... thus, I thought it created a nice blend of Conservative meets Badass.

{Left: Jordan, The Boy and Me & Roger. RIGHT: The Boy, Me, Roger- natch}

Another outfit- on Saturday I wore Roger with this white blouse and large, balloon skirt. I think it added some edge to an otherwise very soft and safe outfit.

{Me, Roger, The Boy evidently showcasing my car}

I had a lot of fun sporting Roger this weekend and I'm sure I'll be wearing him more and more... also, I know these looks aren't for everyone but for me- I like them.

{The Boy being so nice to adhere to my picture obsession}

However- no matter how happy I am with Roger, I know that he can't hold a candle to The Boy.

What a lucky gal I am. :)
