Of BCBG & Pilates.

So in my post yesterday, I grumbled on about being at work when I wanted to be off on different ventures.

But the truth of the matter is: the First Thursday of the month in Portland is supposed to be worth the day of work- why? Because every first Thursday of the month our city comes alive with gallery openings, art, wine, food deals and camaraderie and I planned on doing just that post corporate-world day.

{The First Thursday that never was}

HOWEVER, my fair city has decided to dump a large amount of rain on us this month (yes it rains a lot here but this is rare for Summertime) thus my romanticized idea of roaming the streets downtown, admiring original art with a glass of wine in hand and heels that clicked the ground was... not so appealing. So in lieu of fun with friends (that statement sucks), I decided "indoor sports" would be much more appropriate.

So- I ended up getting a few cute new things for my wardrobe, including a fun BCBG skirt and a darling light pink summer dressamabob.

{Pink dress and black/white skirt went home with me- and I didn't even have to buy them dinner}

...and a Volcom sweatshirt which makes me feel slightly badass.

{My new camping sweatshirt}

And to make sure I could continue to wear the new skirt without looking like Santa Claus in a tree skirt- I headed off to Pilates because the Thursday night class is the best and I needed a break from the Cardio routine I've been doing lately.

Funny how after an hour of soul-searching, stretching, soft music and muscle toning: I felt like a million bucks.

Tonight: off to the old college with the best friend in tow to visit our little brothers who attend the school- should be a grand 'ol time.

I hope you have a great weekend: Rain or Shine!

Ohhh I love this skirt you found. It looks sooo cute. And this principle with the First Thursday sounds so cool. Definitly something worse adapting in Europe :)
Have a wonderful weekend

We have an art walk here on the first Friday...but our little town is small...but it is fun. One of the local high end thrift stores got all (not quite all) the extra BCBG clothes from last season and they were dirt cheap...$5 for a skirt...you would have loved it!

You must link up to tickled pink...you don't have to do anything really just link (you can put the button on the post, but I am not being freaky about it). Did you go visit bumpkin...you will love her fashion photos.
