Caitie's 26: Part 2.

I'm back! I'm back! I'm back!

Oh how I missed you all, surriously-I don't want to name names because I would be going down a list and forget half the people but I thought about what many of you were doing during my absence. Your lives and stories gain my interest and my care and I missed being a part of them.

My computer broken last week was the most annoying thing I've ever dealt with (minus when I discovered they canceled "DirtySexyMoney" due to the stupid writer's strike). But at least I had my favorite weekend in the history of time to help me get over it... that my dears, will be in the following days. But can I please finish my birthday posts? I do only turn 26 once, you know? And with my comp all shiny and new, I have access to my pics again.

So here we go... as I mentioned in THIS POST, I kicked off my birthday weekend by going out to dinner with The Boy. It was perfecto. But what is a birthday weekend without some short, tight clothes and dark bars?

That's why Saturday night, August 7, was used for just that purpose. Oddly enough, my friends and I all showed up in primary, solid-colored dresses. It made for some great pictures and for some even better comments by men we encountered at the bar (i.e. "BUNCH A HOT F*CKING POPSICLES AT THAT TABLE!"- thank you drunk man at table 7). The night was nothing more and nothing less than that of feelin' a girl about town in my city, with my friends, dressed up and embracing being 26 (which admittedly, makes me feel old).

{At Tiger Bar downtown}

{Popsicles & Us: Separated at birth}

{Kiesha, Yuki, Tracy, Miranda and Me}

{The Boy and Me getting down the only way we know how... horribly. But sometimes the worst pictures are the best ones}

Have a wonderful Tuesday - glad to be back!:)

Yay, Caitlin, I’m so happy your computer is all yours again and that you didn’t lose your pics! Great to have you back in the blogosphere :)

I love coincidences in general, and dressing coincidences are of my favorites! So yeah, I do love how you all dressed differently yet so very in sync! And lol at that popsicle comment by a drunk man lol As for feeling old, lady, just imagine what you’d think about being 26 once you’re 40… And go back to celebrating your youthful 26! Lol And no getting old feeling till you’re 80, agreed? ;-)

Loving it! You girls look like the SATC gals... I always love when they are dressed in different solid colours. What a great coincidence with your outfits :) It sounds like a wonderful evening. I'm turning 26 in November, too. And I was always afraid of the "time after 25" (because it is obviously the time until you turn the bigh 30)... but by now, I am kind of looking forward to the years coming. For me it will be the years of finally growing up and I regard it as something positive :). I will always keep my inner child but I think there are so many adventures ahead during this phase of life. So I wish you all the best for this phase :)

P.S.: I really like that you celebrate your birthday multiple times. I should start that too :)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! I just had mine too (except I'm ACTUALLY old . . . 29!) and I just love birthdays and think they should be celebrated to the fullest. Except when you're a high school teacher and your birthday falls on the first day of school. :|

SO funny that that guy called y'all popsicles . . . ha! But the primary colors are pretty funny, and you're right, make for great pics!

Hope you had a blast and that you continue to celebrate! Missed you!

Embracing 26 makes you feel old? Old is more what i feel - old enough to be your grandfather and a dirty old man at that - identifying with what the drunk guy at table 7 said whilst ogling you and your hot popsicle friends. Glad you had a fun birthday weekend and i hope your birthday month continues an being a good one.
