Girls. And all I really want is Girls.

As I mentioned, last Saturday night I went out for my good friend Yuki's bon voyage party as she is moving to Spain in search of something along the lines of Eat.Pray.Love. Though I'm proud of her venture, I will definitely miss her while she's gone. I have never had a bad thing to say about Yuki in my life- she's always upbeat, sincere in her care and open/friendly/wonderful to people from all walks of life. Yuki immediately likes and trusts people and this quality makes her one of the most inviting friends I have. She's a good egg and I'll miss her!

Due to schedules, most of our night ended up being Girls only. But like that is ever a problem for any of us... I love my boyfriend but he and I both appreciate a good night out alone.

{Above: Me, Yuki, Miranda, Megan, Shanin Below: Miranda and Caitlin photo shoot I guess.}

So after spending the night all over the city, meeting people new and sticking with those who I came with... I got on a girl high. I love just being with my close girlfriends of years and years back. They make me happy.

In other news...

I want to be this girl:

Bluemarine Fall 2010

Walking around here today:

Chicago

But instead, I'll be chained to my desk in corporate America.

ho-hum.

There is nothing in the world like good, restorative girl time. It's the best! I am so thankful for my girlfriends.

Girls are rad (I count my gay bf's amongst my girls! hehe - but seriously too). Close friends are the best thing ever and we are so lucky to have them.

I'm loving your pictures and am super stoked for your friend Yuki. She's brave and lucky to be going off on an adventure. Makes it a lot easier knowing she's got amazing friends at home waiting for her :)

xoxo,
Carrie
ps-was totally thinking of you tonight when I was ready to kick my computer out the window. argh

Girls nights out are the best, and all the better to have a guy around who gets it and appreciates a night out alone, too.

Wow, your friend is so brave! It's always been a dream of mine too but I've never been brave enough to take the plunge for something like that! Good on her!

And yay for gal friends, what will we do without them:)

As a couple, it is important to still set aside time to do your own things. Looks like lots of fun and best wishes to your friend on her new adventures.

i knew you loved Chicago, but didn't know you had aspirations of being a runway model! i hope you don't want to be that skinny. Have you practiced that walk the designers seem to favor?
i hope Yuki finds some of the happiness she's looking for in Spain.
It looks like you and your girlfriends really have a blast when your out. It's a treat seeing the photos and the smiles.
