I've had about 3 Redbulls in the last 15 minutes and I feel fabulous.

I don't want to go on again about how rough this month is at work... so I won't.

Let's talk about happy things.

{This is a happy thing}

Like the fact that Leonardo Dicaprio is due to star in the remake of The Great Gatsby. I don't know about you but Leonardo + The Great Gatsby wardrobe instantly makes me feel unjustified to wear white at my wedding (yes that ship has sailed as is but whatever).

{Put two and two together.. and enjoy.... you want to smoke a cigarette right now, don't you?}

Or, how about the fact that today was National Coming Out day which is another attempt to remove the stigma from being homosexual so people can be who they are and lead healthier lives.

{One of the lovely people in this picture is Gay, if you can't tell- why should I?}

Also, what about this picture my Uncle captured of my Sister, my brother-in-law, Me and The Boy going to my Cousin's wedding looking like some odd Mafia family. The BEST part is that my brother-in-law in the forefront looks like The Godfather yet you will note he is pushing my Grandmother's wheelchair.

{I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse- right after I take my Grandmother to her seat}

Or certainly spending Sunday with my Mom and Sister at a Baby Shower. I know a lot of people complain about "showers" of any sorts... but I like celebrating milestones in others' lives and enjoy spending the weekend doing something a bit different. Besides, I like being near baby stuff due to the fact that I won't be having one for a long while.

{Baby shower with a view: To make it clear that I'm not ready for child, I dressed like a man}

And finally... knowing that Pumpkin Patch season is upon us. Which means I can wear sweaters and take a lot of pictures during the day as I masquerade around vegetables with my friends. If that's not fun- what is?

{My dear Shanin and I pumpkin patching in 2009}

Also - it goes without saying I am insanely happy that the Chilean miners may get out tomorrow- those poor men! It gives me a little perspective as I sit at my desk fighting off tears...I may be stressed but I am not in a cave x amount of miles below earth, cut off from civilization with a bunch of shirtless, lonely men. Wait a minute... that doesn't sound so bad. Cheers for their safe return!

And have a fabulous, fabulous, fabulous Tuesday my dears!

Wow! That's really tossing down the drinks almost the way i did in the old days - i learned to keep it down to about one bar drink per half hour to avoid the whirlies. Hope you don't have a hangover tomorrow - you all look fabulous, (as always). Trust me, things have changed more than that (though they have a long way to go) and white would be just fine on your wedding. And what about the "Great Gatsby wardrobe would make you feel that he was worthy of wearing white? I don't think many people pay much attention to that tradition much any more, There's plenty of wearing of white at weddings. As far as coming out day i don't think i've done much coming out other than to wonder if i'd survive a uterus, vaginal and ovaries transplant complete with the whole six year process and then (via banking my pre-op sperm and utilizing in-vitro fertilization become the first transgendered person to give birth to their own child (there's quite a fantasy! - bet that would make news.) and then, naturally marry a lesbian. Okay, it's late and I'm straying.
Anyway, you look like you're having loads of fun. I envy your youthful stamina.
Beautiful photos. What big beautiful looking pumpkins! I can't believe how fast the time is going. Before you know it I'll be loading up on pumpkin pies and weigh over 200 pounds (I'm close now).
Good news about the Chilean miners maybe getting out.
I'm obliviously going to have a late start on Tuesday, but will try to have a fabulous one.... and you too!.

Pass the red bulls and let's hit the road to see the miners when they finally get out. I'm ready to abandon my life. Did you see Dateline on Friday with the Petit Family massacre that left only the dad alive? I bawled all weekend.

Don't know why I mentioned that except it is still bothering me SO MUCH.

I L-O-V-E the mafia picture. That neeeeeeeeds to be framed.

xoxo,
Carrie

It's so good to put things into perspective sometimes! I'm not having the best month either, and I feel like I need to make a list of all the positive things that are going on in the world right now because that makes my problems seem so insignificant.

As for what you've put in this post, the mafia picture is amazing!!! It looks like it's straight out of a movie. And National Coming Out day, I hope lots of people had the courage to face their realities and that their families and friends were supportive. And as for the Chilean miners, I'm so happy that they're going to be home with their families soon! I can't even begin to imagine the trauma they've faced (and they seem to have stayed so positive).

Hope you have a great day too and that things start looking up for you!

Gah! That picture of you, The Boy, the brother-in-law and your sister seriously does look like a mafia photograph - due, in large part, to the gloves you insisted upon wearing (which you know I LOVE)! Gah! Seriously, I think that photograph needs to be on the cover of US Weekly or something - I LOVE it!! :)

I love the title of your post so so much. When I'm DDing for my drunky friends, I seriously CHUG the stuff and often end up having a better time than when I drink! Isn't that weird?

Anyway, I sincerely hope your week is getting better! I LOVE that mafia picture, love me some Leo (yum-o) and love love love your baby shower outfit. Tis the season for baby showers and pumpkin patches, apparently! Everyone's going to both!

I think you captured lots of great things (word and image) with this post, and I hope you get some rest soon.

We have made several pumpkin patch trips here as well.

And, thanks for sharing your softball story about your dad. That sounds like a great experience. A few years ago, my dad and brother visited us (dad is elderly and they live many states away). The Mrs.' dad was there as well.

We were able to play some whiffle ball in the backyard with our little crew--it was great to see my Dad try and play; it seemed like I was a child again.

Have a super weekend.
