Don't mind if I do!

Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think. ~Chinese Proverb

{Exploring my city and our recent beautiful weather last Sunday}

Wearing in image: Laundry by Shelli Segal black faux-fur belted jacket. It is by far one of my most cherished, huge splurges. I basically wear it every day in December.

It's no secret that I adore having a job.
I love the routine.
I love having a whole section of my wardrobe be conservative and streamlined.
I love meeting people I wouldn't usually get to know- my work friends range from age 23-50+.
And I like feeling that I have a purpose and a goal.

I was unemployed for awhile in the past, after our parent company shut down our office. It was hard and frustrating. All the time in the world to work out yet dwindling motivation. All the opportunity to travel, but no funds with which to do it. All the ability to sleep as late as you want, yet you become restless. The good ol' laws of supply and demand: too much availability of anything and the desire to have it lessens.

I enjoy the working world.

I enjoy it so much that free time and days off feel like what they are supposed to feel like: the best thing in the entire world

I'm officially on vacation until the 14th thank you to my ample PTO that won't all carryover at the start of the new year. I'm going to organize my life, bake, get my skis all ready for ski season, run errands, watch Christmas movies, walk my family dog, edit pictures, get coffee with my friends and head south for a long weekend at The Boy's hometown. I'm going to enjoy this week off because the funny thing about having a job is... you learn to love the time you are away from it.

So in between my little slice of heaven, I'll be here and excited to have more time to talk with you, and most likely I'll be snuggled up in something ugly, sipping coffee and listening to Britney Spears while I do it.
