On our second night in Ashland, The Boy and I went to a $10 wine tasting at Allyson's Kitchen. The price was amazing considering it included 6 wines paired with 6 cheeses as well as included salami, bread, grapes, live music and ice water. I truly couldn't believe that it only cost 10 dollars- that's the beauty of a small town because I know in Portland it would have been at least 30 dollars. It was such a ball, the boy and I grabbed a little table and happily feasted on the decadent cheeses with their thoughtful wine counterpoints and enjoyed discussing our opinions and the food in the beautiful wine cellar.
In the following days, The Boy and I continued our feasting on coffee and large breakfasts... as well as on the most exquisite Sushi I have ever had. We visited Kobe Sushi in Downtown Ashland and orgasmically noshed on their delicious Tiger Rolls and Edamame (which I can never get enough of). This is an expensive restaurant but again, The Boy and I went during their Happy Hour and enjoyed everything for under $20.00.
And how can you forget the beverages. The Boy and I sipped local brew, drank local wine, gorged ourselves on exquisite, local coffee and drank just about every organic, fruit-infused, soda that I could find.
In conclusion, we spent basically our entire time there consuming everything we could which consisted of gingerbread samples or late-night treats. Though I'm feeling a bit blah (and fat) now, I know that it's totally worth it and that you should always, always, always let yourself go a little nuts in December (on the conditon that you make up for lost time after the Holidays).
Happy Monday and sadly, I'll be back at work tomorrow. Ugh!

Sounds like a good time at just the right price. I hope your week allows you some recovery time.
Seriously? You guys are like, exactly me and Ryan. Right down to the food! We love sushi, we love wine, we love cheese...well, basically, we love eating. It seriously sounds like you had an amazing time. I'm always in favor of feeling chubby if it means that I'm having an awesome time, even if I completely regret it later.
Enjoy the rest of your night/time off!
Wine tasting sounds like so much fun - Ive never been to one! Definitely going to look out for one close to us though.
Looks like you've been enjoying your vacation!! Ashland seems like a lovely town indeed! So sorry I've been MIA from ur blog! I'm still recovering from carpal tunnel (ugh!), so it's slowing down my blogging routine:( Anyway, love that Laundry faux fur coat you're wearing below! You always look gorgeous in ur pics, Miss Caitlin!:) Omg, I feel ya, this is definitely the time for gluttony. I've been pigging out on too many holiday goodies and missing my workouts, ack! lol Btw, that's such a sweet post dedicated to the boy:) Have a great week!
