The Best, The Worst, The Important

Alright, I'm stepping in line with my Sunday night and relaying my thoughts to you on the exciting fashion that abounds at these award shows. And because I just feel better about my life if I do so, the "Best" and "Worst" are respectively retitled with Britney songs.

Front and Center...

I don't know what to say except all of these women look FANTASTIC. Hats off to January especially who killed it.

and... holding up the rear is...

I'm sorry but Jennifer Lopez: you are no longer relevant and your outfits are always horrible (nice makeup though), Halle: You're so pretty, don't need to try so hard!! I think that dress would be better at events that are 9 pm or later and Michelle: what can I say? From head to toe, I literally hate your entire look. Whhhhhy, would you do that to yourself? You look like you auditioned for The Babysitter's Club in about 1993. By far: you looked the worst of the night.

But really, taking off my Joan Rivers hat, today isn't about what someone wore last night. It's about the resonating message left behind by someone who shaped our forever future and who sacrificed his own well being for a cause greater than his own.

On a very small scale, in my life, without his astounding perseverance, I wouldn't have had the luxury to know, meet and love many people of different races who are in my life.

And to that, I say thank you.

thank you to eonline.com for the images with which I made my collages

So happy to see someone else thought Olivia Wilde was a best dressed. I thought she had the most amazing dress, hands down.

I actually thought all of the women looked nice at the Golden Globes - even the "worst" looked good. Even though I liked a lot of the nominees and their outfits I still get a kick out of Joan Rivers style humor and enjoyed the roasting and politically incorrect humor of Ricky Gervais hosting the 2010 Golden Globes. I was cracking up.

Thanks for posting the inspirational quote by Martin Luther King - so appropriate today on Martin Luther King Day - and thank you for all the comments you have left on my blogs. :-)

I totally agree with EVERYTHING...except I wasn't a huge fan of Leighton's dress, but she kinda skeezes me out in general so that's probably why.

WHYYYY did precious, adorable, beautiful, perfect Michelle Williams wear that dress!?!?!

Nice post, totally LMAO at the Jennifer you are no longer releveant and I agree about that other chic (Michelle's looks), eventhough I have no clue who she is.

Loved the ending of your post as well.

: )

You are spot on with the best and worst dressed! Halle Berry goes for a similar look all the time...and it is not good.

More importantly, is the message at the end.

We're pretty much opposite in our reviews, but you're young and cute and are into fashion, I'm just being mean.

Michelle Williams dress was truely awful! It reminded me very much of A Sound Of Music 'lets rustle up a dress from a floral curtain!'
