Brothers don't get it.

{My siblings. My sister has never dyed her hair. It's always the natural redheads who shouldn't mess with their hair- too pretty!}

Jocelyn, to a packed car:

"Gosh, I don't know what I want to do with my hair since the wedding is over. I spent so much time growing it out and now I'm just not sure because there's so much I could do if I kept it long but I also have the option of a good haircut. I don't know- what do you guys think? Pleaassee give me advice about this! I mean PART of me really wants to continue to let it grow longer and then PART of me wants to cut it into a cute bob..."

Conor, from the very back seat:

"And ALL of me doesn't care..."

I was probably a little a bit like that (your brother) when I was young and probably told my sister I thought her bangs were too short after our mother had taken her to have them cut short (similar to the way Lady Gaga's bangs appeared recently). When my sister got older she grew longer and bleached it. I definitely didn't get it. I've learned a smidgeon since then. I know that no matter what a woman does with her hair I should say it looks good.

Your sister's hair looks just fine the way it is. If she just has the split ends taken care of once in a while and tries adding a little body once in a while it will stay beautiful, but the bottom line is that it's her hair. How she wants it is for her to decide what she does with it and it's for other people to compliment her no matter how it turns out - unless it's a young brother. It might be part of their DNA to say "And ALL of me doesn't care..." funny. That's brothers! Maybe you'd find out what they like if you could get them to go out in drag on Halloween and see what kind of wigs they picked for themselves.

Bahaha! I got a haircut recently and when my brother saw me he burst out laughing. Usually he doesn't even notice if I've changed something, so I asked him what was wrong - he laughed and said I looked like a child!

LOL. Such a typical little brother thing to say. I texted my brother to tell him about my new hair earlier this week and he was like "it's nice". It's NICE?! Wtf does that even mean? Like, ugly? Or really hot?

Boys = dumb! Throw rocks at them.

Jk mostly :) I love my little bro.

Um this is absolutely hilarious! I never had any brothers so I never got these kinda of comments (ok just kidding...my mom would shoot these types of remarks at me).

Actually, I think Conor gets it quite well. It is a personal decision and he's spent his life as part of Jocelyn's committee.

Love,
Mom
