Hawaii Week: Booze Cruises, Sunsets and Ultra Bikinis.

There are few times in life you are allowed to hop onto a boat which doubles as a downtown bar and head to the middle of the ocean for a 1.5 hour tour of the Island.
 {Me on the Booze Cruise. 1.23.2011. All other images taken this day too from my camera}

I guess I should first ask, Blog Readers: Have you met Hawaiian Booze Cruises???

If you don't know, here's the deal: As you spend your vacation enjoying the magnificent shores of Hawaii, there will undoubtedly be boats that intermittently pull up onto the shore and sit there while various shirtless folks with cameras and smiles board the mini-ships. These are booze cruises. They cost you $20-$30 bucks to enjoy and all you have to do is pay the old-ex-hippie-turned-surfer-dude who runs the ship, give him your name, get on board, start drinking and enjoy the ride.

Seriously- you don't sign anything: no waivers, no releases (seriously!!!) and you don't even need an appointment. It's an amazing little party feature of Hawaii.
Due to the fact that The Boy and I really wanted a tour of the Island from the water coupled with the fact that we would like to sip champagne while we do so, we made sure we got sight-seeing in at the beginning of the day so we could booze cruise it up in the afternoon.

I eagerly slipped into my black, leisure swimsuit for the booze cruise

But... by the end of the booze cruise, we were having so much fun, that we didn't go back to the hotel to change for our night out. Thus I was stuck in my weird little day outfit long into the night... from Booze Cruise to Sunset... I mean, literally, I was in that all over town alll night...

I'm sure there are worse fates in life...

You looks so happy and well-rested!! Have never heard of something like a booze cruise before, but it's great to hear you wanted to go on one and ended up having so much fun!!

I heard you perfectly with the big letters lol. It all looks like such an awesome time. I did go on one of those in Jamaica with mom. Non a big boat but enough for booze, and seeing the pretty little fish(es). (Glass bottom boat too).

Your boat was much cooler though!
