I am sorry if the following offends you or chaps your hide. However, please understand the severity in what I'm about to say:
{This is for the outdoors. End of story.}
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever wear your fleece coat to work in an office environment.
FLEECE JACKETS are for hikes, for outdoor events, etc. They are never to be worn inside an office. Don't do it ever, ever, ever.
INSTEAD, WEAR THIS:

Happy Friday :)

ADORABLE coat from banana!! I do love my north face but ya, don't think i've ever worn it to work lol

haha loved this! Totally agree! Although, I work for a large sport brand here in Portland and I have to admit sometimes I wear my comfy, warm puffy coat to work..SOMETIMES... Only when I'm feeling super lazy. I mean, I can wear a hoodie to work if I wanted to, so it's pretty casual around here :)
Wow..really interesting post :)
Sadly I can't used aforementioned item because it would look weird for a dude. However a blazer is always good to wear at work for men.
This made me laugh. And its true!
I totally agree! I'm always railing against the black fleece North Face jacket with the skinny jaens with the Uggs. It's a perfectly fine(ish) outfit but not appropriate for all occasions. And the it's been the PNW uniform for what, 4 years now? Time for something new!! Whew! As you can tell I feel strongly about this. :)
snicker. fleece is for those that ski or live in the mountains. i have a couple of fleece blankets at home. and i NEVER wear fleece to work. the horror!
p.s. thanks so much for your sweet comment. leo was quite a looker! lol. such a cutie. and he was soft like a bunny, and he purred as loud as a motorboat! :)
So offended! j/k I agree w/ you. I mean, how hard is it to swap out a fleece for a cute cardi or jacket?
BTW-I say this as I am sitting on my couch in VS Pink yoga gear and an Aero hoodie...just saying. :)
Oh my gosh I am totally offended. Fleece is my everyday outfit! I kid! I kid! No really, I don't wear fleece unless I am, like you said, at a cabin up in the mountains. And even then, I would probably go for something a little less fleece-y :)
Interesting looking jacket.

LOL! girl, accept it, we are in oregon! :)
Unless you work in a 150,000 square foot film studio that is not heated in the winter...is that an excuse?
Bahahahaha SO true. I can't stand it when I go to work and people are wearing ZIP UP HOODIES :/
ha ha i totally agree - very well put love!
i agree, though sometimes i've been guilty of dropping my kiddo off at preschool in something like this (usually i'm off to go running though after).
that black ruffle jacket is adorable! i love that they make comfy jackets out of sweat material nowadays so you can be comfy and cute!!!

I just stumbled onto your blog and laughed out loud at this post! So true, so true... although I have to admit, there were some icy days here in Ohio when I wore my black uggs to drive in/walk across the icy parking lot, but quickly swapped them with my heels as soon as sat down at my desk (before coffee, morning gossip, anything!)haha :)
New follower - have a fantastic weekend!

I SO agree!!
But North Face is so darn warm...hahahaha
Thanks for the sweet comments! That preggers pic of me was about a month before Babe was born. I was huge! :)
I am not anti-fleece either, but I thought it was hilarious that I was sitting there in yoga pants and a hoodie telling others that "it's not that hard to swap out a fleece for something else." Ha ha :) Even down here in TX, people wear LOTS of fleece. I agree w/ you that fleece isn't really appropriate for the office -just very casual.
I thought I was the only person in the world who was SO OVER the North Face trend. North Face fleece is for camping - period. Love the ruffled jacket!
