the little umbrella that could

Being in the Pacific Northwest, we don't really have much of a choice but to endure the rain. However, attitude and mantras can have a lot to do with the way you emerge from Winter. Will you stumble into Spring beat-down with ripped clothes, crawling into the sun or will you be one of the lucky ones who perches her kitten heels into the sun lane, presses "Go" and dallies into warmer weather (112% of me is positive that that statement makes no f*cking sense)?
The warmer weather was here... and then it hastily left and yesterday was a soppy mess with downpours and amazing thunder. Well you know what? My Mama said they'll be days like this, they'll be days like this Mama said (Mama said, Mama said)... so thank goodness she instilled this mantra in me from the time I was very young
 All rainy days deserve
a bright umbrella.

My poor umbrella is beat up. I should get a cute one and retire the old one. Love your over-the-knee boots!

You definitely have the cutest rainy day attire, so sweet!

I adore unique umbrellas, I have one that comes from the children's department too:)

You rock those clothes whichever way you wear them or combine them. Even the umbrella. Just don't use it in NY if you ever come this way or you'll be one giant highlighter around here. And then may get that stolen. People here light to steal shiny and bright stuff.

ooh yes girl completely agree. last year i got a free victoria's secret umbrella with a purchase [on a day it was pouring no less] so u know i rock that shit! and im actually hunt the hunt for a nice plain umbrella to use just in case its raining on the wedding day! wedding pictures in the rain are... kinda pretty lol

I don't think it rains enough in San Diego for this to be a problem. But girl those are some fierce boots!

love your h&m sweater. i'm in love with stripes. when i lived in l.a., i swore never to wear them because they myth was, "they made you look fat" but that was then. fat or not, i love me some stripes. i love that red plaid umbrella, too! i have a pink and brown striped umbrella from the gap, but i think i need a new one. it's from a couple of years ago. powell's has some cute ones, they're like the red plaid only a little smaller that the regular size which i like. i forgot the brand though.

You make an umbrella look good!! I live in the Tri-Cities, WA and absolutely LOVE Portland. I actually lived in Welches, OR when I worked at Mt. Hood for a winter. The best time of my life! I am SO not a big city girl but I would move and live in Portland in a second!

Ok and I just looked at your blog a little more and saw how you are a fan of Britney. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE her. I have loved her from day one and have never ever waivered, not during her hair shaving crazy days or anything! I can recite the words to every single one of her songs, especially her old stuff, that is my favorite :) Glad to see another Britney lover out there!!

Reminds me that spring is right around the corner. I love the yellow. And Spring showers means May/Summer Hotness on Candyfloss & Persie, I'm sure :)
