Pop the Pink

Women usually love what they buy, yet hate two-thirds of what is in their closets.
~Mignon McLaughlin, The Neurotic's Notebook, 1960

I hate to be all Snow White-ish on you but currently the birds are chirping, the sun is shining and I have the day off! It's so nice that honestly, I feel like I should be getting dressed right now with the help of a friendly mouse and cheeky squirrel.

I guess as the weather gets warmer, it's utterly inevitable that the dresses will once again be seen. I still remember a time in college when I was huffing off to class on the main street of campus on one of the first warmer days of the year. I ran into my boyfriend's guy friend who instantly said "Gosh, do you see all these girls?? I LOVE spring term, it's just like all these hot girls in hot dresses come out of the woodwork".

Personally for me and for most girls in my world, the warmer weather brings about the accompanying clothes. And that certainly includes a fuchsia dress from a thrift store (but is a Target dress) which wonderfully allowed me to feel fresh and springy at the office while maintaining a hemline that was corporate appropriate:

{Worn to the office (w/ a sweater) on 4.7.2011}

Wishing you a wonderful Monday and I hope, hope, hope that the sun is shining somewhere for you!

[PS the happiest anniversary to my brother-in-law and Sister]

Love that you can wear hot pink to work!! The sun is not shining here for me unfortunately... It got colder all of a sudden and switched back to winter or what's that outside lol Bit I traveled last week to a destination that was full on summer, so I am thankful for that - who would've doubted? ;-)

Happy anniversary to your sister and brother-in-law!!

P.S. As for Mondays and my post - I know!! It was funny to realize what I said in a comment to you was exactly my sentiments back then too... :)

And as for the chairs and couch... Not sure if you're gonna believe me now, but a slightly lime-ish yellow sofa is axactly what I had in mind!!! lol With a gray rug, some gray-ish plushy sofa pillows... And the whole room filled with other earthy tones... With cream-ish curtains... Something along those lines :)

you look stunning in that fuschia dress! love, love, love.

i like that sheath dress because it's all around, you can wear to work, for a romantic date, weddings and to brunch! i also like the focal black and white photo effects.

p.s. it's all good, i don't hate you after that lakers comment. as long as you don't cuss me and drop the f-bombs on my blog like last year's unclassy anonymous commenters who pretty much liked trashed my site by their dirty mouths (some directed at me and others to other laker commenters or just anyone they disagreed with about the playoffs). so this year, i'm thinking of disabling comments when i post about the playoffs or the lakers.

Firstly I have only just stumbled accross your blog and I love it...spent way too much time reading it when I should have been working this morning.

I have been trying to incorporate my colour into my wardrobe and the fuchia looks great on you!
