Urrbody clap your hands to the beat

{patio drinks at Paddy's in sunny Portland}

So last week I came home after a long, long, long day and blogged about how rough my day had been. Seriously- I was just so happy to have a blog to vent my frustration on because otherwise you would have seen either an empty bottle of wine (I kid, I kid) or me with a bangin' body because I worked out for 4 hours (whhhy do I have a blog deterring me from option 2....). I wasn't even planning on stopping Blogging for a week but it kinda ended up happening because of what happened on Wednesday:

I got a Promotion!!!!

Life is funny, it really is. My worst work day in recent history was followed-up by me getting word that I received a job that which I've recently been interviewing for. It's not Chicago buuutttttt for now, I will take it- it's in a Department I want to be in, more moo-la and altogether a promising step in my career.

So the rest of the week was doomed to be me relaxing a bit, kicking up my feet and staying off the computer to soak up my friends' awesomeness. I watched the Blazer Game, I hung out with my Boyfrannnd, I watched the Royal Wedding in my Prom Dress, I enjoyed life.
Oh- and I came to two conclusions:

Bedhead hair is fun and I wish I could come to work sometimes looking like I rolled in there from a party the night before (which I never do. Monday-Thursday Caitlin is boring as h*ll). I've decided that I want to start making my hair scragglier on a more regular basis - don't say I don't have goals.

{my best capture of my scraggle hair- it was all kinds a messy. And yup- that's my favorite American Apparel shirt ever. Located here}

Celebrating a Promotion is best done over live rap music, sun and friends. The deliciously ghetto atmosphere of the outdoor mini-event my girlfriends took me to on Sunday made my entire weekend. Especially when we received word during the day that Osama was dead- that's when the real dancing started. No use crying over deceased terrorists.
{gettin' gangsta wit' it. And when I get gangsta- I just imagine being sensational Amber Rose}
{Sunday DJ spinning at Produce Row Cafe}
{Tracy shows us what she learned in college}
{gettin jiggy wit' it- nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah}
{all danced out. Those shoes are made for walkin' being oogled. Owie, they hurt to move in!}

In the meantime, all my love to the CIA, our Commander-in-Chief, our Military and anyone else who played a hand in keeping the world safer by ridding us of someone so evil.

Looking forward to getting back in the blogging swing this week :)

First off, good to have you back!!! After your last entry, I was a little scared we wouldn't see you for a while. Glad to know it was because you were celebrating a PROMOTION!! Congrats! I'm sure it's VERY well-deserved!

I unfortunately rock the bedhead look ALL too often at work. With my Northface jacket hahaha which I knowwww you love ;-) But part of my bedhead look comes from the fact that it hasn't stopped raining here in Ohio in like months, and umbrellas are just too much sometimes :-)

Glad you had a great week and happy you're back!

Wow Cate, congratulations, you deserve it.
Also, scraggly hair is so totally sexy, nothing like a pretty girl with the morning scummy look and stuff.

I mean, scraggly, etc : )
