Is that a Horse on your Wall or are you just...

Do you remember back in 2010 when I posted THIS POST about packing up my picture frames (PS- I'm not that conceited, of course you don't...). Well basically, for the last couple years, I've always been scouting for really different, authentic picture frames. Upon finding such a treasure, I have been wrapping them up in tissue paper and keeping them hidden in a very large tub until they make their debut... somewhere in my life. This has always been the plan- to have an abstract wall of odd frames I've collected.
Well, last weekend they started to birth from the tub and enter my crazy world. Though this is by NO means done (I don't even want to show until the room is complete but I'm about as good at holding off on that as I am about holding off on changing my hair color the second I get the desire to), I wanted to give a sneak peek to how my "abstract wall" is coming abooooot, doncha know?
And if you're wondering what the huge, chess-piece of a horse's head is doing on my wall, please just understand 4 things:

1) I got it HERE if you're so inclined.
2) I am trying to determine a name for him.
3) I plan on decorating him for Holidays as suggested by my Brother
(Santa hat, anyone?).
4) I love, love, love him!

{Me right after work on September 2nd, happy to be back with my then-unmounted boyfriend. That sounds horrrrriiiibbblllle but get yo' mind outta the gutter}

So that's how it's starting... stay tuned to see the end result!

What's a home-styling idea that's always gotten you excited???

Ok, now I want a wall of frames like that.

It's common at UA for students to get a date for the game, esp the Greeks, but I never knew anyone who let it determine whether or not they went to the game!

This is just fab!
Love the idea, & what you have so far. The horse is amazing piece. So jealous of your life, having your own place, & decorating however you want to. I think you you should name the horse Billy.

Ooh, I want a horse-head for my wall! I would drape flower garlands on him/her year-round!

I am always excited by the idea of hanging necklaces up on my walls as decor - they are so sparkly! :)

Love love love! The wall looks fab!

Love the horse! I'm thinking you should name him "Buck". How fun is that? And think of all the fun things that rhyme with Buck. Hahaha! I love that you're going to decorate him, too.

Love the wall! It looks so artsy! And that horse head... my god it is awesome!!

If I had one I would name him Charles, and he would have a British accent... in my head... lol

I love how it looks!! And definitely decorating the horse is a must. Just remember to post pics! :)
I get excited about organizing things: toys, recipes, pictures...And then I get 1/3 of the way into the project and it's like my mind is on organizing overload and I just get so overwhelmed. But the thought of everything being organized really excites me more than it probably should...

I love how you decorated your wall. It's different, but it's easy on the eyes. I love walls with tons of pictures and memorabilia .

the horse reminds me of the dog statue at chandler's and joey's apartment on friends! why, i haven't got a clue?! hahah i always get excited about framing photos from my travels because i can always say, "i was there, i took that photo!" versus, "i wanna go there someday."

Caitlin! What an awesome idea! I just love this wall and all these unique frames - looks great already!! And love the horse too and your brother's idea about dressing it up for holidays :) You'll have to be posting pics of its each new outfit, promise? :)) (Remembering your beer fest post, I just thought of some slutty horse Halloween costume, but no, I have no idea how such costume is supposed to look like! lol)

As for me, I do have enough of idea for my future bachelorette pad already! But most of them are just in my head - I don't feel I can find a space to keep them or budget for them yet lol For example, one is a photo from a book I want to print out in a very large size and put somewhere ear the dining table or in the kitchen. Ahh, dreamy! :)
