My weekend was a lovely array of fine dining, trendy watering holes, fabulous company and exuberant venues. From a very fun double-date on Friday night to a bounce-around Girls' night on Saturday, I had a well-rounded City weekend.
Conversely, on Sunday morning, with glazed eyes and dragging feet, I drove to my Dad's house so that he could look at some issues with my Car. I drudged there head to toe in ugly gray sweats, glasses on with my tangled bed hair framing my makeupless face, ready to deal with my Dad's inclination to turn ANY Vehicle work into a tedious, 4-hour "How-To" documentary so that next time, I can do it myself (that never happens).

{ My feet-up on Sunday, hangin' with the adorable Maddie... and in absolute heaven}
However, I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival that the warm, crock-pot infused house was the perfect remedy for the chilly outside air. Instead of popping in and out quickly, I stayed there the majority of the day- watching TV, cuddling with the Dog, doing Laundry and hangin' with my family.
It was by far, the highlight of my weekend.
Served as a nice reminder that it doesn't always take glitz & glam to entertain, very often, you can find it right under your nose. Or in my case, 6 miles West of my apartment in a big 'ol house I used to call home.
How was your weekend?

Perfect way to end the weekend :) You have to recharge a little before Monday gets here!
aw sounds lovely! i felt the same way when i was housesitting, its so cozy, get love from the pets, everything i need at my disposal. why did we feel the need to grow up and out?! hahha.
ps what happened to unflattering picture sunday? ;-)
i wish i lived that close to home... but luckily i get to go home for 3 whole weeks soon :) cant wait!!!
:)
xx
You are seriously cuteness personified, Caitlin; and I love the idea of coming home to a cozy house when it's chilly outside! :)
sure you had a great weekend gal, cheers :)
I do the same thing! Every Sunday I go all the way back to Madre's house to do my laundry and eat her food. Sounds like you had a great weekend to me! Now to take on the work week... :)
sounds amazing! I love going home! My parents live about 20 miles away in Hillsboro. That is so funny about your Dad---I do the same thing and pretend to listen, but always go to him again no matter what! I just can't figure certain things out, and why should I when my dad is so close....ha! Plus they love me coming home.
What a fabulous weekend! My weekend was pretty low key ;) You ladies look gorgeous!
Great post! :)
aww! so sweet of how sunday was the best day for you - even though it looks like you had a pretty fun weekend! so jealous... i worked the whole time lol but i hope to hear more about yours and live vicariously through you!
Staying in and cuddling up with the Fam is always the best! Glad you had a nice weekend!
Your weekend sounds lovely. :) I love my Mr. A, but he's crap when it comes to taking care of vehicles. (Don't tell him I said that.) Nothing beats a father. They always know best!

Looks like you had loads of fun on the weekend - mine was busy running errands! Eeekkks
happy it was a nice weekend for you... have a nice one!
even though i like the fact that i get to go "home" by plane and can really consider it as a vacation, i also wonder how it would be like to have the parentals so close by! entertaining in the simplest way is really awesome. when i lived back home, the girls and i will have pajama parties, just hanging with our jamies - no makeup, no guys, chinese food take out, movies and nail polish - just girls being girls. glad you had a great weekend! double dates are fun, too!
hunny you look amazing! seriously! you look like you had an amazing weekend!! I'm so jealous!
My weekend went by in a flash. Rearranged the furniture late last weekend and suddenly don't want to leave the livingroom. Could seriously lounge in there for hours!! Although I'm feeling a wee bit homesick for my parents after reading about your Sunday :)
xo,

Hi Caitlin! OK for $15....I think you should go back and get that python dress! I take a mix of my outfit posts indoors and out so you'll get a healthy does of Chicago! Thank you so much for stopping by and I am excited to read your next post!! Good night ;)
Hey, Caitlin!
