Not the First, Won't be the Last

I have a not-so-secret love affair with American Apparel.
I have written about their Viscose Dolman Sleeve T (find the shirt by clicking its name) before and I will write about it in the future. I stumbled across these pictures from September and realized that I should YET AGAIN push everyone on this top (especially if you're looking to spend domestically-like me!- after realizing that all your money goes to China in some form).

Material is orgasmic against the skin. The fit is flirty. Dress it up or dress it down with cardigans, jewelery or scarves of your choice. Tuck it into a black pencil skirt for sophisticated chic or let it flow over skinny jeans for casual vogue.

I wasn't paid to write this post and I have no professional relationship with American Apparel besides the fact that I would gladly spend all my money there if that were an option... and sleep under the counter.

Final Answer: the shirt is well worth the $32.00.

Update: Stevie brought up a great question- "What bra do you wear with it??" I have a nude, strapless bra that does the trick (Looks exactly like the below). Funny how skin-toned hues are nearly invisible under anything in the t-shirt family. As a B-Cup to C-Cup (fluctuation has to do with how much I'm eating/working out at the time), this works perfectly. Though I'm sure smaller could get away with less and larger would require a bit more.

Great option (above) can be found here.

It's super cute. I've always loved that style, but can never figure out a good bra to wear with it. What do you wear?

Every time I read about this shirt on your blog, the next thing I do is go to AA online & add the black one to my bag, but then back out of purchasing it. I need to try this on in person. The sizing get me alil confuse. I love it on you. Its just effortless chic.

PS: If I wasn't a greedy bitch, I would totally send you the eyeliner, IT IS THE BEST! I just have two left now, & I am about to cry. I can't explain it, its perfect!

Nude strapless bras are SO important. I have four. I'm not kidding.

... I also own 28 bras. Don't tell anyone.

it looks super cute on you! I feel like american apparel stuff never looks good on me though so I avoid shopping there.... I thrift shop mostly. But maybe I will have to try on this top and see!

i personally own this very top in maroon, black, white (x2!), and grey. I have to tell you that i have the same feelings about it. 32 bucks well spent. I know its just a basic top with very little embellishment but I find myself wearing it with literally EVERYTHING in my closet.

I love your term 'casual vogue.' And that's what that top is: it looks comfortabl, but at the same time, keeps it sexy casual cool with the off shoulder swag and sensual back revelation pizazz. Love it :)

Thanks again for your sweet comments! I hope you like the new change to the site ;)

Thanks for advertising AA. I love their clothes but I do find that they are expensive for the quality. But I have to say the pieces fit amazing on your body especially their dreses.

You know what I love about you? You unashamedly tell us about things that you truly, honestly like - even if it's controversial like American Apparel or popularly despised like Twilight! It's so important to just be honest about what you like - no matter what the rest of the world thinks.

(As for me, I have a few cute dresses and skirts from AA but find they're a bit too tight, even in the larger sizes! And I've never seen or read Twilight, so I've got no opinion there :) )
