The Rose City ♥

I do love this city of mine. Even as I'm sooo ready to fly the nest, I know that wherever I go, or wherever I am- I will always be a Portland girl.
Girlfriends & Me (on right) pose with view from the uber-chic Departure Restaurant & Lounge

Southern view of Portland from top of Condo in the very trendy Pearl District
View of Portland from the luxurious Governor Hotel

Enjoying the benefits of the summer closure of Ankeny street, where pedestrians are welcome to eat, drink and be merry on the city block without the intrusion of cars.
On the cusp of the entrance to the city from the South Waterfront taken the day I wrote this Blog post - 11.30.2011

A rainbow greets me at the view from my apartment, touching down onto the Hilton downtown.

Historic Fremont Bridge, from the South side.

Me, trolling around 4th Ave., where the good shops are.

Another view of 4th Ave., taken 11.30.2011
The Boy jogging across the Hawthorne Bridge.

View from Departure deck again (same as first image)

All images were taken by Me in downtown Portland

I'm signing off for the weekend, have a fabulous start to your December!

I do love that place. And I must say...moving away even deepens the appreciation (even just being 3 hours North).

Hi Caitlin, dropping in from my friend Rasha's blog.

Great photos, I've never seen Portland before. At first I wasn't sure if it was Portland, Maine or Portland, Oregon. (I'm from Toronto and rarely travel to the US).

Your city looks gorgeous.

Portland looks like a great city from what I can see in your pictures. It's one of the cities on my to-go list. I am from Texas, so the weather difference is pretty big. I'll probably have to visit when the weather isn't too cold, so I don't die of hypothermia. =P
