Geology Rocks! ;)

I do enjoy actual hiking. You know, the kind where you fill a backpack with granola bars and flashlights and put on your ugliest shoes with the thickest soles and head off to face nature like a mountain man. I love that kind of hiking.

But I must say, a casual sauntering down gorgeous Smith Rock State Park as a quick escape from a beautiful cabin at a resort in Central Oregon works just fine for me too. Pleather Pants, Ugg boots and faux-fur jackets are allowed during that kind of hiking. And in the name of being inclusive, we were sure to bring them along during our jaunt in the middle of our cabin getaway retreat weekend.

{^ we look so mature here}

{^Just around the River Bend... beyond the shore... }

{^If I were famous, the 'she's pregnant' rumors would be rampant in this number }

{^Men, men, men, men manly men, men, men }

{^Reminds me of The Grand Canyon a bit. }

{^ I promise I wasn't trying to pose like this... but it came out funny}

{^A River runs through it }

{^There's no better friend to have than those with access to a cabin wink, wink :) }

{^Loving the walk in my Gaga glasses }

{^Exploring new areas of your State can instantly lift the 'been there, done that' feeling. }

{^The weather was allllmooost as good as the view. }

{^Modern day explorers}

Have a wonderful Monday. And of course RIP Whitney and yes, Adele is amazing (ESPECIALLY that eye makeup!). That sums up the weekend in entertainment news without adding yet another blog to sift through dedicated to those two topics.

That's all folks!

Hiking...I think I am a fan of your hiking and what you wore! Great scenery, good friends and Uggs. I totally laughed at the "is she preggo' comment because IF you were famous that is what people would say even though you don't look preggo. Digging the glasses...always a fun pair :)

Never been hiking but want to go badly. I need sneakers tho, like the once you described. My only pair of sneakers are the Reebok Easytones, I don't think they are for hiking. As always love your photos. & LMAO at the "pregnant" photo caption...If you were, your babies would be so damn cute. I swear you & the boy are just the cutest together. Have you seen the YT boyfriend tag veido? DO IT!!!
& freakin' cute gloves.

& about my Disney Princesses book comment, yeah I lied, no book...The photographer Ryan Astamendi just shot his version of the Disney Princesses. Jasmine's hair, I die. http://www.visualnews.com/2011/05/31/real-life-disney-princesses/

PS: I knew your birthday was in Aug (creeper much?), just not the date...Happy belated 1/2 birthday.

I've never been hiking, but your pictures make me want to! Everything looks so beautiful and it's such a great way to exercise. Super jealous that you have local places where you can particpate in those sorts of things. Great post!

Looks so fun! I love hiking...but a simple trip to just appreciate the beauty in "your own backyard" is some great medicine.

I only dislike camping because I'm always worried I will fall! I meant hiking...anyway, I'm just so clumsy I'm more stressed than enjoying it.
