Praise the Sun Gods

Unlike last year, the sun has actually been out on the reg' and I've had a hard time passing up every free moment I have with it. Though even as I enjoy my sunny summer, I find myself wishing I had more downtime at home to Blog. Last weekend, I even hoped it was rainy and cold so I wouldn't be enticed to go outside and would post instead. So sad, so terribly sad.

But while I haven't been sitting on my computer (though have been thinking of you!)- here's what I have been doing:
Eating lots'o Watermelon | Rollerblading around Downtown for exercise* | eating cereal before work on my bright balcony | Spray painting old picture frames | making homemade iced tea 5 times a week | taking pictures of my weight loss progress | reading Archie Comics at the park | BBQ'ing dinners with The Boy | throwing the football outside | Farmer's Markets perusing | Ale Festival visiting | Bike Riding on the Waterfront | Urban "swimming" a.k.a. going to one of the downtown water fountains and jumping on in | eating Popsicles | Curbside Brunch | Being so tired from all this at the end of the day that I've been going to bed at about 10- unheard of for me|

To name a few...

So for reasons above, I'll probably only be posting 2-3 times a week in August (and why I've been a bit slow lately). But once I trade in my flip-flops for rain boots next month, I'll be cozying up more at home in my sweats with my laptop open and my ugly bunhead blazing (luckiest boyfriend ever...).

I hope you're enjoying your Summer too!!
PS:
I'm 28 in 7 days. Oy!

*I purchased nearly-new rollerblades at a consignment shop for 5 dollars and I have been OBSESSED ever since. But I only blade on hidden streets because let's face it; it's humiliating.

Happy 28th birthday a week in advance! It's a great age to be. I'm glad to read you're enjoying it, living life to the fullest with The Boy and making sure you hold on to that youthful health. I smiled when I read "only" 2-3 times a week. I didn't even post in July and August is looking iffy. I do love reading your posts. Enjoy these flip-flop days while they're here. : )

roller blading!?!?! I haven't done that in years! I'm so very jealous! I wonder if my old blades would fit.... or if my parents still have them.

Sounds like you're having an amazing time! If we had sun in our country (we have it some days, usually followed by rain) I wouldn't be blogging either!

have fun on your rollerblades x

Rollerblading!
OMG, I haven't done that in forever...I want rollerblades now, that was the only thing I was good at. MAC is coming out with Archie Comics collection next Spring, I am super excited about that. You had me at popsicles. I wish I was more excited like you about the Summer, or the sun. I just can't, & especially in AZ sun. With my family in town, I feel like my blog is slacking, but then again I don't do hardcore post, so its okay. Leo babies, yay! 25 in 10 days, I am ready to be 25 tho. & I am not 100% sure about the whole Muslim/dog thing, I want one, my said no, & that's what she told me. & since I am under my mom's roof still, I let it go. I will ask one of my friends, she's super religious & knows way more than me on being a "proper Muslim".

Not even going to say to enjoy the rest of your summer sunny days, cuz I know you will already.

PS: The puppy the right side, OMG, freakin' adorable!!!

Ooh, I heart that picture Caitlin - your hair looks incredible! And yayay for rollerblading! At least you have graduated to hidden streets - I rollerblade in my kitchen. Seriously. :P

P.S. LOVE that you mentioned Jennifer Aniston in ROCKSTAR in your comment! I thought I was the only one who loved her style in that film!

P.P.S. Happy, Happy Almost Birthday! :)

Rollerblading IS humiliating!! I hate skating period, because I swear I look like a baby deer trying to stand for the first time. I'll just sit by and take pictures, thankyouverymuch. :) I don't blame you a bit for passing on blogging in order to be outside; especially with all of the fun things you've been up to! But I do kinda miss your posts, so part of me is hoping your cold, rainy weather comes soon! :)

cute cute photo :) love the little glimpse of feather!
and what you've been doing is exactly what I want to be doing, oh well maybe next summer ;)
sounds like you're living your life which is more important than sitting at a computer blogging! what would you blog about if you weren't out there doing things anyway?!
I'm going to take my roller blades out for a spin too now that you've reminded me. I used to be so good but now I'll probably have to stick to back streets hehe
xx

Sounds like lots of fun things to keep you busy and the rain and snow will be here soon enough, so plenty of time to blog will come due.

I miss summer, not just because it's winter but good long hot summers like the one you described. Since moving to what must be the least sunny town in Australia I've hardly had a warm day.. I swear I wore a sweater almost all summer long, it was awful. So don't feel bad about neglecting us, enjoy your lovely sunshine!

You are having one awesome Summer. I LOVE YOUR HAIRRRRRRR.

Hahaha, oh man, I used to LOVE rollerblading. So so much. I'm really jealous that you're getting back into it! There aren't too many hidden streets in Phoenix where we live so I'd never try it...but when we move into our house I might become "that rollerblading girl" :)

Good for you to enjoy the rest of summer - life is way too short to stay holed up inside when it's gorgeous outside :)

I LOVE to rollerblade! Doesn't feel like a workout at all! Just don't text and rollerblade at the same time (I'm sure you know this already lol) like my friend did! She ran into a metal pole. The lady jogging behind her wanted to call the ambulance bahahaha She had a black and blue leg for months! Talk about embarrassing! Anyway, cute blog, I'm a new follower!
