You are your Sunshine.

Whether you've been reading my blog for awhile (I'm sorry) or just a newbie passing through- it's my earnest hope that you've peered on over to the Left side of my page and noticed something...

In case you haven't, here's a hint:
That quote. That perfect, amazing, speaks to everyone quote.

Eyes bad like mine? I got your back. Here it is in Grandma size:
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you."
- Dr. Seuss.

My first encounter with those words was very serendipitous: I was going through a rough break-up and had a lethal case of the blues. On a particular dreary Saturday, I popped into a bookstore and in no mood for anything heavy- headed over to the Children's section to find some old books from my youth (readable comfort food if you will). Upon entrance to the reading bungalow, hung the aforementioned quote by the illustrious Dr. Seuss. I read it, collapsed onto a bean bag chair and lost myself in thought about my current affairs. I was sad to lose someone, not sure where I would end up in life... but there was no one else out there like me. Me alone, will always be enough to make it through.

So since the conception of my blog, the quote has remained prevalent on my page. And I hope a few of you have taken the time to digest its adorable message.

What's a quote that puts a pep in your step?

YES! Children's books are definitely readable comfort food - I love you for this!

One of my favorite quotes cam from the pages of 'Peter Pan'. It simply states: "Wendy, one girl is more use than twenty boys." How empowering is that for the ladies?! :)

Thanks for pointing the quote out Miss Caitlin--I tend to overlook the obvious and certainly miss out on good stuff.

I have several fav quotes, but when I need inspiration after listening to critics, this one has always been one of my fav:

“Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.”

Oh that's always been one of my favorites!

I love it, I'm a huge Dr. Seuss fan and 'Oh The Places You'll Go' in it's entirety is o e of the most inspiring books I've ever read, I found it during a really rough patch in my life and it spoke volumes to me.. Especially the final lines 'You're mountain is waiting so get on your way'.. Also and it's kind of corny but 'If you can dream it, you can do it'- Walt Disney I had that scrawled on my mirror during my senior year of high school and I loved reading it as I got ready for school each day..

Oh yes that is right up my alley, as the cat had read Seuss time and time again across his valley.

I love it! My favorite quote is one I can't remember exactly or who it was by....more like an anthem for me to live by. it's something like this: "everything falls into place eventually....so in the meantime, live in the moment and laugh at the confusion."
it's good for type A people like me to keep in mind!

Oh girl! I *needed* to be reminded that I have to be my own sunshine. Hubby and Punkin sure help too. ;)

But dang. My work is killing me right now. I always tell myself that "whatever happens, you'll be fine."

And it's so true.

I guess one of my favorite quotes is the one that's supposedly attributed to Einstein about "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

That quote really gets me out of my "SSDD" moods sometimes!

That's such sweet quote, it goes with your blog perfectly. Dr. Seuss is just awesome!

Not really my favorite quote, but I do like it enough that I have it tattooed on me, "Hello to tomorrow, goodbye to Yesterday", idk even remember where I read/saw that.

I have noticed that quote on your page before and I love it! It's very true. It's obvious why that quote helped you reflect during your breakup. Breakups are rough and sometimes it takes something as silly as that to get us through.

My all time favorite quote was said by Evangeline Lilly (My total girl crush. Love her!!) and is also featured on my blog. It's my motto for life. "Forgive quickly and kiss slowly". I think it says so much using as little words as possible.

Have an awesome weekend!!

Oh, I've noticed it. It's so sweet and positive! Mine are a little darker lol.

The first is Robert Frost: "I can sum up everything I've learned about life in three words: It goes on."

Okay maybe that's a paraphrase, but it helps me push through when things are hard and reminds me that the world's not over.

And then when I get in a rut..I have no idea who said this, but:

"If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten."
