Undrinkable Wine ♥

I turned 28 on August 8th. And that was entirely traumatic in itself. What eases the pain of this? Well (besides Jennifer Aniston who proves that you can be incredibly hot well after the allure of your twenties...) a nice big bottle of red. Which is exactly what my Cousin-in-Law (my Cousin's wife) picked out for me as part of my gift:
The only caveat: I won't drink it. It will never be opened. Not now... not 40 years later when I'm trying to woo a client and snobbishly offer to open a bottle of 2012 Red that I've been saving for their exquisite palette. No: it shall remain fresh. And if you look closer, you can see why:
Do you see the adorableness of that label? She designed it and catered it to ME! The image of the wine bottle is comprised of words that she felt represented my goals, my life and me as a person.

It's the little, special things that make me grateful for my family.
[PS she was able to do this through her work so I don't know how you can do it!]

Happy Friday and Weekend loverbugs!

This is freakin' cute/adorable/so thoughtful! Yes, never open it! I feel the same way about "Kinky", but doesn't really hold any special meaning to me, but just that its from a close friend/the color pink.
Your cousin-in-law rocks making such a great label. I am going to show my friend Alex (who gave me Kinky) this post & order(!) her to do something like this for my 26TH.

Wow that is a great idea and you're telling me it's all down hill after 27? haha

The personalized label was the very first thing I noticed; I love it! Such a thoughtful idea! And I get not opening it simply because of the label. There is a running joke with my inlaws that I'm a "change thief" since I kind of, maybe, taught my kids to take any loose change they saw lying around. (not such a good lesson now that I think about it...) So for my birthday one year, my SIL hot-glued coins all over a bottle of wine and gave it to me. It was so funny and still makes me smile every time I think about it.

What a gorgeous bottle of wine, I love the label! The words have so much meaning and 28 is young Caitlin :)

I just read your other post, about prince harry. I am sad that people took photos of him in the buff, and took advantage of the situation. He's always been the partyer between him and his brother...
