Outfit Post: The Boyfriend's Boyfriend Jeans

In our little cohabitation; The Boy and I find ourselves sharing more things than we had originally anticipated during that wide-eyed, you're perfectly wonderful, will-never-annoy-me courtship phase. During those days we shared appetizers, bottles of wine, the cost of a movie date (you get the tickets, I'll get the popcorn) and so on and so forth. It was all so cute and charming. But now real life exists between us every day in our shared space and what's mine... is definitely yours. I use his razor. He uses my lotion. I use his butter. He uses my nail clippers. And sometimes I even use his toothbrush. It's a brand new, cyclical, sharing world.

But I would never think to wear his clothes. At least not out of the house (um, nothing is better than chilling on the couch in your Boyfriend's huge sweatshirts on a rainy day). That was until I've been unsuccessful in finding my own designer "Boyfriend Jeans" that suit my taste. However, while getting ready for a quick excursion, I had a moment of- I DO live with a Boyfriend... why don't I try on his jeans... and that I did (much to his "what the hell"s [plural]):
^Problem 1: The Crotch. I am NOT that excited about the view from my house.

^Inspiration. Image VIA. Yes, Yes... my favorite American Apparel tee is back!

^A feature I quite enjoyed: easy squatting. No small feat in my fitted denim. And please ignore that corner behind me- we are amassing a Goodwill pile for Fall cleaning!

^They look better on The Boy & why does my hair look like JWoww: Season 1 here?

^So standing is the trick. Sitting creates far too many phallic imitations for my taste.

^The Boyfriend Jean look, authentically done. But not too exciting to me. I feel like a trucker.

So they were comfortable and not too bad to wear... but I just felt a little ... mannish (imagine that). I mean, I do like to feel a bit womanly in the ways my clothes fit. With regard to that, I don't know that I'll be trying this again with his actual jeans. Now... on to find my own saggy-crotched pair from a women's department... somewhere.

Ever done the Boyfriend jean look- thoughts?

Love boyfriend jeans, that made for girls. Few years ago, American Eagle had some great once that I bought, which are now sitting in my closet cuz I got fat, can't wait to wear them again. Gotta put down the ice cream down first...Beside the crotch area I think they look fine, maybe alil' cuffed? Did I tell you that I bought the AA shirt, but in black. However, it doesn't fit how your fit you, which makes me sad.

I've never done it, preferring fitted clothes, but I think it could work on you! I think all you need to do is swap your baggy top for a tighter one and voila! You'll look just like Jen Aniston :)

Personally, I think you rock the boyfriend jeans look. I, on the other hand, don't like how I look in it. I'm only 5'1, so unless I wear 8-inch heels, I feel like I'm being swallowed whole by oversize denim. Skinnies made specifically with female figures in mind are my BFFs. :P

haha even sharing the toothbrush? ewww hahaha but I suppose you swap spit anyway hahaha

They seem to work, saggy crotch and all.

I remember the boyfriends jeans look came in when I was in high school, only my bf weighed about twice what I did so that was a no-go.. But hey I had two younger brothers, one exactly my height, we looked like twins and his sweatpants fit me perfect so surely his jeans would too? Wrong. I mean yes they fit, but they just looked all kinds of wrong.. But I was able to buy some women's jeans from the local surf store that looked like boyfriend jeans but were still flattering! I still remember how comfy they were, men have no idea how good they have it! Mind you, I think you loom pretty good in your mans pants!

Haha...I have that problem with girl pants sometimes. I have a butt, but no front butt, so the zipper bunches up on some pairs if I buy to accommodate my behind. I can only imagine with actual guy pants...

I haven't tried this with Jared's jeans. Boyfriend jeans from the womens department will hopefully work out perfectly though!

Man pants are definitely more comfortable than our usual lay-on-the-bed-to-zip-them-up pants, but I like the way ours fit better. No saggy crotch and room for the booty.

P.S. Love the JWOWW season one reference. Totally got that.

I haven't ever worn jeremy's jeans! I have borrowed his sweaters though =P
You look super cute, not mannish at all lol I have boyfriend jeans from the GAP - the womans section and they fit nicely, they have a more feminine cut if that's what you're looking for! These look great too though! (you could wear a paper bag and look gorgeous!)

I've tried on Ryan's jeans before and they literally looked so awful it made me gag. Those look cute on you though! There are just some trends I don't pull off.
