I love the unique culture of the East Coast. I love many people who reside on the East Coast (Hi, Auntie Barbie!). I love SO many places on the East Coast.

With respect to that, Halloween posts on pause.

Stay safe over there. Stay warm.
I'm thinking of you all and wishing I could help more!

There's a part of my heart stuck forever in PA and my loved ones there are already without power.. fingers and toes crossed it doesn't get worse.
The news is full of terrifying images from NY and NJ. My heart is with all of them.

I was freaking out when I couldn't reach my sister/nephews, they are okay though. They still had power when I last talked to them. This sucks! I am not even watching the news anymore, its too much. A photo on Tumblr has been going around of Time Squares, completely empty which is just weird. Hopefully the damages isn't too much.

NY is grand, hopefully all are okay across the land, we get the damn storm soon as well, not going to be swell.

That last shot is just perfection - love!

I'm originally from New York, and most of my family still lives there, so I am keeping the whole East Coast in my prayers right now. Seriously hope everyone comes out of this okay. :)

Living on the east coast, I am so glad Sandy has passed. Though the devastation is far from over. We were lucky to only have our basement flooded but my heart goes out to all those who are still without power or still dealing with the flooding.

Thanks for your concern and sentiments. I lost power for 2 days but consider myself lucky, minor damage. Only got to read news accounts and see photos after regaining electricity. Have some mess to clean up but not as bad as so many others. Many Halloween celebrations are postponed here in New York. My heart goes out to the many who have lost homes, loved ones, are without power. Love the pics. I hope everyone has as Happy a belated Halloween as they are able to.

I can't even believe how much devastation and damage the storm has caused. I feel so awful and heart broken for all those people who've lost their homes and their loved ones. =(

Respectful move. I have so much family in cities that were more effected than my own. They're all okay. I hope yours is, too.
