Vying for Freedom

On a chilly day of Yesteryear, my friend Tracy and I explored the city on foot for hours on end. At the completion of our journey, we posted up at an urban, upscale eatery- ordered a couple adult beverages, noshed and caught-up on one another's lives while we sat next to the fire. It was the best day and made me realize the sheer beauty of a hours and hours with no professional requirements.
Tracy and Me on the best day!
Speaking of... 8 hours until freedom. 8 hours until I can respond to questions with 'totes' and 'kewl' and try to successfully drink water while laying down and lowering the cup to my face from between my knees-just all of the important things that you never have time for during the workweek. ;)

Happy (almost) weekend to you all!

Love this, because truly the working week sucks. Well mine does anyway and even if you're lucky enough to like your job I think we'd all prefer to be drinking on the floor!

Exploring the city must have been fun especially when it was all new to you. The exuberance and carefree bravery of youth :)
It's been so long since I've worked all day that it's hard to remember the 8 hours a day of - wait a minute.... I NEVER had a formal office job like yours. The closest I got was classes at school, but then it was a long series of blue collar jobs. I can appreciate and imagine the feeling though, There's nothing quite like having a nice fire in a big working fireplace to warm up and relax by between trips outside for more logs - and nicer if it's at an eatery where they take care of it for you. It looks like fun. Love the mental image of you trying to successfully drink water while lying down. I've tried that several times before but always seem to spill and wind up sitting - trying to imagine the "from between the knees" and slowly, accurately pouring it and having it find my mouth. Happy (almost) weekend to you too, and thanks for your comment on my blog :)

Sounds like a wonderful day and yeah would be quite the life if one could do that all the time.

I'm trying to picture this whole -drink water while laying down and lowering the cup to my face from between my knees- but it's just not coming together in my mind. Please record this and share. :) Happy Friday and weekend to you dear!!

haha... well @Lindsey @Sarmin @Karrine - I guess it's more my feet and I like to do it after I work out. I lay on the ground and put my water bottle between my feet, stick them up in the air and squeeze the water out and try to get it in my mouth. It is really dumb but always something I find myself enjoying after a weekend workout... haha.
