The setting for the dramatic, always-emo, always enjoyable guilty-pleasure plot of Edward and Bella took place in Stephenie Meyer's Forks, WA: A town she repeatedly described as a misty, foggy, rainy, gray utopia. From the moment I picked-up the book, her geographical descriptors were a dead-ringer to the misty, foggy, rainy, gray utopia that I've known my whollllle life. So it was far from surprising to me that the Producers did in fact pick Portland, OR to film the initial movie: "Twilight" (#PopUpVideo: that was until their budget increased and they moved production to Canada for the ensuing films).
Being someone who has forever loved visiting anyplace that I've seen on the Big or Small Screen, this little image of Bella and Edward scurrying around my city is exciting for me. And what's even more exciting is that the Cullen house is actually in my neighborhood-we're talking a less than 2-minute drive/10-minute walk. And today, on a lazy Sunday afternoon- I grabbed The Boy to go pay it a visit.

I feel I must declare that it is a private residence and there's a very obvious place where you should stop walking towards the house (which I obliged- especially because it's kind of tucked back off the beaten path), so I'm not encouraging anyone to go and stalk the poor folks. However, I'm sure they expect some street traffic due to the popularity of the film.
And on that incredibly boring end note, enjoy your Monday!
