Full Speed Ahead

Lately I've had this fantasy that after work, I'll actually have some time to settle in to the blogging world I love so much. After a stressful day at the office, I'll curl up on the couch and lose myself in the various blogs I follow (and love) so much. However - this has been a pipe dream. Work has been super, duper crazy lately and the thought of coming home and looking at a screen in order to orchestrate anything almost makes me nauseous.

However, pertaining to work...
I think I could argue that I almost like dressing up for the work environment more than I do any other. I admit that sometimes I am lazy about it but when I really find a work outfit I like: I'm more excited about it than most cocktail dresses I adorn myself in. So though work has been driving me carazzzy, in a couple weeks I'll be flying down to Napa for a big meeting. And it got me thinking... what am I going to wear?

I haven't been shopping in awhile and I think it's time I treat myself to a little flair for the meeting...now I'm just scouring the internets for professional inspiration!

Happiest Friday to all of you!

Dressing for the office is fun, I remember when I got to do it and totally envy you being in that position! Post photos of all new wardrobe additions please, I'll live vicariously through them!

I haven't worked in a prrofessional setting for a year and a half. Some days i really miss dressing up but most of the time I don't. Haha. I love having the freedom to dress however, whenever. BUT I love finding an outfit that just works. And that happened when I dressed professionally more than not.

Go buy yourself something nice! and Napa??? So fun. I am sure you will snap some amazing pics. Xo

I also love dressing up for work, especially in dresses since they're so easy but look so chic! Speaking of dresses, I LOVE the one you're rocking in that last pic!

Your eye-makeup looks beautiful in the first photo. Your bag looks exceptionally functional and business-like - perfect for all those file folders peeking out. Now that's job dedication! The light yellow sweater looks nice with the dark pants. I adore the dress you're wearing in the third photo. The setting is pretty. If the grass were cut a bit shorter it would remind me a little bit of a golf course (no, I'm not a goofer). Is that water I spy in the background? I'm sure you'll pick the perfect outfit for your big meeting down in Napa. Enjoy your office fashionista endeavors and brief change of scenery.

There was a time when I also did that for work, but now that I mostly work at home, shorts or PJs are the norm. And the older I get, the more questionable my choices in clothing are for when I come to work... and even in my choice of PJs :(

I hate dressing for work! Granted, I havent started yet but I started shopping for school appropriate clothes and did not enjoy...i struggle to find suitable clothes that are also cute and don't make me feel like my mum haha.

Hooray for shopping! I cannot wait to see what you pick out for the meeting - I already know that it's going to be A-MA-ZING!

Happy, Happy Weekend, lady! :)

I love work clothes, too! But eventually individual outfits do lose their luster and I get lazy. Hope you have a great time in Napa and a great time preparing! :)

I dress up for work too! My job or 'career' is mundane, dressing for it is the best part of the day, ha! x

I bet you get lots of silent applause when you arrive at work Miss Caitlin.

The Mrs. actually had to help me update my wardrobe now that I need to look presentable more frequently. It took all of her patience to push me through the 1980s decade look.

I LOVE that last dress! If you ever decide to get rid of it, please think of me first!! :)
I enjoy dressing professionally if I'm excited about the outfit. Otherwise, I'm VERY thankful that I work in an office where jeans are A-Okay. And I can't wait to be able to wear scrubs every day! I can't wait to see what you come up with for Napa. I know you will look fabulous as always.

I pretty much love all of your work outfits, (love your play outfits just as much) you make look young, & not fussy. I will be deff stalking your past work outfits when I get my "Big Girl Job", which hopefully soon. The last dress photo, not even fair, gorgeous! & yes, go get something pretty for Napa, & I will be drooling at my end.

Hope your doing good!
