Weekend Rewind

Well, good morning all. How was your weekend? I actually had a pretty good one and feel more depressed than usual in knowing that I have to head to work. Oh well, the weekends wouldn't be as sweet without the sour, I suppose. But consider THIS my face as my alarm clock went off this morning.

Friday Night:
On Friday night, I gathered at a local watering hole to celebrate the birth of two of our very good guy friends (one pictured above). It was fun to see everyone and I hadn't been 'out' in a long while so I actually enjoyed myself. The repetition of going to the same places every weekend had long waned on me and turned most weekends into the plot of "Groundhog Day" so I was elated to discover that my break actually did me some good.

Saturday Morning:
Skin tone is so uneven without foundation on!
Woke up to the.most.gorgeous.day. and had a protein-filled breakfast of scrambled eggs with jalapenos and green peppers; half a piece of toast, protein smoothie and of course, a huge Americano. I thought it was the perfect power breakfast HOWEVER- I found myself in a bit of discomfort for the beginning of my 4-mile run. I'm already a horrible runner who snorts like a pug for the first 15-minutes so the added roadblock was not appreciated.

Saturday Afternoon:
Taking long walks around the neighborhood allll day long, capped off with a Sushi dinner a few blocks down. The weather was beautiful, my body was buzzin' from my run and I just felt great, happy and relaxed. Wish I felt that good every day!
Sunday:
Paparazzi'ed The Boy on his run, went on a Bridge Walk for a Lazy Sunday workout and watched the Superbowl with some very missed food. Oh yum. The Boy insisted we deserved a big ol' cheat day from our food regimen. So, I decided that anything worth doing wrong was worth doing right and promptly went to Popeye's Chicken for game day snacks. The most embarrassing part? The fact that I'm not embarrassed by this. However, watching Beyonce perform did force me to cut my portions in half. And about the game: I didn't have a dog in the fight so I just rooted for the 49'ers based on my motto: Westside til' I die (obviously).

So back to the desk. Boo! Though I am flying to Napa on Tuesday for work so that'll be a nice break in the montony albeit turn my Monday into quite the stress fest.

Here's to another week, wishing you the best!

I absolutely love the fact that you wear pink lippy for your runs - it's such a glamorous touch to a sporty venture!

So glad that you had a fabulous weekend, my love! Wishing you a safe trip to Napa {fun}!

And I have to say it {as per usual}...you and The Boy...too cute!! :)

If you are toughing it out and pounding 4 milers you deserve nothing short of applause--coughing/snorting or not.

Enjoy your time in Cali. I hope it is sunny for you.

Yeah I feel so sorry for you having to work and then go to Napa haha But yeah you are right I suppose can't have the sweet without the sour, although I'd still rather never go to work haha

Lol, I wish I was good at makeup application to work at MAC. Good guess tho, I just love buying their lipsticks/blushes. I had my interview at Macy*s...Which I got! I am so excited!!! Its a SA position, however hopefully that leads into being a Buyer some day.

Your teal-ish purse, is that Olivia + Joy? I just saw the magenta/purple-ish color, in love with it, & yours. I need it!!!

Cheers to a great weekend! I love how doll up you are for your run. "Saturday Afternoon" photos, your hair looks awesome like that. Seeing Beyonce, her body makes me not want to eat forever.

Have fun in Napa, even if its for work. I love how you get to travel for work, legit grown up job.

That noooooo.GIF for how your face looked when the alarm clock went off is hilarious! I remember feeling like that.
Those peppers and eggs with Jalapenos sound yummy! A 4 mile run seems pretty impressive to me (I'd probably be puffing and panting within the first hundred feet or so).
"Paparazzi'ed The Boy" - that's funny! I watched Beyonce perform too. I thought her performance was HOT despite the fact that I'm not into leather I was rooting for the 49'ers too - oh well. I liked Beyonce's sister's Tweet: "Beyonce Bowl". Thanks for the wishes for the week - my best wishes for yours too.

"snorts like a pug" LMAO!! I laughed out loud at that comment... love it!

And you may be paparazzing the boy but I fail to see how you yourself don't have cameras following you around. I hope your trip to Napa was good! Do share!
