My Smokey Eye

A lot of people ask me about my eye makeup and what goes into the process. I never really know how to answer that- um, I swoop my brush like thissss and then glide it atop here until I look like a Drag Queen...- never sure what to say. But for those of you who do like the heavier eye-makeup look and are curious, this is generally how I do the black outer corner of my eye [This post ties in nicely with THIS post...]- or as my Sister likes to call it "The Caitlin Wears Too Much Eye Makeup Look".

So that... is how I get to this:

I guess it would be interesting if you did a youtube tutorial kind of thing for it. Although I have absolutely no use for it, I'm sure some of your followers would too.

I had something else in mind to comment but this just jumped out of the bag first.

Anyhow, the images kind of reminded me of that episode in one of the Pirates Of the Caribbean movies, where Jack is tied to a post somewhere, and can't remember by whom and thought his eyes were open but they were closed, except for the fact that he had eyeballs painted over his eye lids... LMFAO... sorry. :P

I think your eye-makeup looks gorgeous, and I don't think my opinion is related to the fact that I have gone out as a drag queen before and wore glittery eyeshadow from Stagelight Cosmetics in Peacock Blue along with two other shades. If you don't have a YouTube channel you should definitely get one. Smokey eye makeup tutorials often seem to get gazillions of views if they're well titled and tagged. I know I would love watching you apply it! Oh, I see another commenter mentioned YouTube tutorials too! Actually I think you could have used heavier makeup than you had in that funny ("OhEmGee") post due to your suntan in that photo. Maybe when your getting dolled up to go out if you're not in a rush you could turn the camera on and do the tutorial as you get ready (and this coming from someone whose only posted 18 videos in the last three years). I love the look of well done pretty makeup :D

I love your eye makeup and am totally one of those people that wanted this post. I don't think I have right shaped eyelids for super heavy makeup tho, my eyelids just aren't like big enough or something haha.
Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful! I can never pull off a smokey eye because I'm too much of a perfectionist. Yours is lovely. Love the blue.
