Coveted Art: Someday

I've long said that I'll know I've financially "made it" when I can walk into an art gallery and loudly proclaim that I will 'TAKE IT!', at which point I will snap my fingers and boss my assistant around like a douche.

Just kidding. I will never be rude like that to no mans.

Anyhoo- that little financially secure, just-buy-the-art dream is a long ways away. For cripes sake, the grocery bill still makes a part of me die inside. So until then, I'll continue to work my bum off at the office and fantasize about the day when I can grab an original Sylvia Ji on a whim...

I hope your Monday is half as whimsical as these photos ("HA!"- right?)

All Photos of her work were taken from Sylvia Ji's website HERE.

I like that dream!

My "I've made it" moment is when I can buy Louboutins without blinking. Or at least without perspiring and trembling as I hand over the plastic, haha!

Oh i love the 2nd to last one...beautiful! I know, i interned at an art gallery 2 summers in college and was always amazed how people just strolled in off the street and bought art.

I love the one with the butterfly sleeves! I recently purchased a Charmaine Olivia print online. Some of her stuff is similar in style to Sylvia Ji!

I'm not sure I'd want my Monday to be as whimsical as those paintings. The makeup painted in the portraits is beautiful but what's with all the spiders and butterflies in them? If I managed to unclutter my house it would be nice to try a little painting (on canvas). Not all beautiful paintings are expensive and not all expensive ones are good art. Weren't you planning on buying your mansion before you start your art collection? If you buy an original Silvia Ji I'm sure you'll pick a nice one. My Monday seemed like a Monday unfortunately. Maybe I'll have a better and more whimsical, um, later today. (It's already Tuesday here).

Oh my goodness, they are gorgeous!
I think my 'made it' moment will be when I see flights advertised and just book them on a whim! To anywhere that seems like a good idea at the time!

Her art is stunning indeed! I'm totally a decade away from walking into a gallery and snapping up a painting away too
