The Most Important Meal of the Day

 Last weekend was my favorite.

I had no big, set plans. No fabulous party to be at. No anything particularly blog worthy... unless of course you are like me and like reading blogs that give you a little glimpse into everyone's simple lives in various places around the world. And my uneventful but purely joyous weekend fits the mold for that description. It was in the 70s every day, I busted out some color in my wardrobe (I know, I know, I was nervous too. I had my Cousin Itt and daughter Wednesday there on hand to help) and I dipped my toe in the decadence pool and ate some better food than I have during the week.
Coffee, Ice Water, Sun, Fruit, Bagels, Bacon, Newspaper ... happy, happy, joy, joy.
And as I have the few fun things I did this weekend lined up in some posts for this week, I wanted to just kick off my Tuesday with my Sunday morning glimpse. I woke up naturally at about 8:30 AM, washed my face, threw on some lip gloss and sunglasses and sauntered down the street in search of a well-lit, cheap brunch with my man friend. Obviously it was Easter so everywhere noteworthy had a huge line, so we settled for quicker and decided to pop into Kenny & Zuke's for some undervalued bagels with just a hint of fancy-schmancy.
YUM.

I even sat and read the archaic version of my NBC News app: a newspaper.

It was so simple. And perfect. And bacony.

I love your relaxed pastel pink and blue morning breakfast outfit!!! The blueberries look good. Just over nine days ago I picked up 5 containers of blueberries and two containers of giant red strawberries. They lasted me a day and a half (slurp. glom, burp!) I generally go grocery shopping every two weeks. I'm psyched to pick up more blueberries. Maybe I'll start going out more often. You were an Adams Family fan? Glad your Easter turned out well. How was the newspaper? I guess it's nice to not have pop up ads jumping out at you whilst trying to read the "news". I had an uneventful extended Easter weekend here and just finished a healthful snack of ice cream and cookies. (it's 2:33 AM here). Maybe I'll have a more reasonable breakfast after I go to sleep for a bit. Have a wonderful April and a delightful Spring - I hope Spring lasts forever - I love it.

No hussle and bussle and just simple, many a time that is the way to go.

Yum! Breakfast is my favorite meal! I've been obsessing over bagels lately and the simplicity of this has me swooning!

One of my most favourite things in the world is going out for breakfast! I rarely do it too but I also did this weekend and it was sooooo good. One of my other favourite things is now the word "bacony", haha! :)

You look GORG in that pic. And I miss bagels. I really do. I have to try the GF kind but it's really more about the carbs. Haha. Sounds like a perfect Sunday. I laid on an outdoor couch in the sun and drank Sangria all Sunday afternoon. It was glorious!
