Skyrise Home Dreamin'

If the City of Chicago were human, he (the architecture is far too masculine to be a 'she' city) would have a restraining order against me.

My search history reads like evidence in a trial after a crime has been committed "No signs she would do this? Well what do you call this psychotic behavior?" ... and a screen grab of every possible 'Chicago' term Googled for 5 hours straight on a Friday night would display on the big screen. Oops. Guilty as charged.

I don't know why Chicago is my lobster, but he is. And I love him. And I think about him more than I should. Which lead me to find this listing, which lead me to daydreaming I could afford it for a good 2 minutes before being cruelly dragged back down to reality.
Located in the prestigious John Hancock Building (large, regal, black one above)

Horrendous views, eh? While I'm not a fan of large, brown entertainment centers... I still know that I would swoop this right on up if I could. I can only imagine how relaxing weekend mornings would be there, sipping coffee, watching the news and looking out at Lake Michigan.

A girl can dream.

What city would your dream Penthouse be located?

That view is beautiful. I hope the apartment/penthouse has good heat. They don't call Chicago "The Windy City" without cause to. It gets cold there too. That penthouse looks like it's roomy enough but I don't think the ceilings are high enough for the trampoline. Obviously I'd have to raise the ceiling. Also it would be nice to have an Island in the kitchen area (as if I use a stove) for both food preparation and/or setting out hors d'oeuvres. I'm afraid I'm nor very good with roller skates so I'd probably want more carpeting or a scooter. The bed looks nice but I think I'd want to set it up so there were mirrors beside it (maybe there are but not in the picture?) and maybe over it. I guess if you have the money for a penthouse like that you can probably afford a few alterations. I have no idea what city my dream Penthouse would be located in. I haven't ever had a passport and haven't travelled much. Maybe Hawaii? I still have to o back and take another look at the photos from your vaycay there :)

I seriously want to move in. Like now. LOVE Chicago!

My dream penthouse would be in New York City. Or in San Diego - it's such an exciting, smaller-scale city. :)

Wow - sweet apartment! I love Chicago too. I'd never been until last year and I was lucky enough to go twice. GREAT choice of city.

I just did some more dreaming. As soon as I win multiple lotteries all with unprecedented large jackpots I think I'd like to own a number of penthouses in cities around the world, and would have full wardrobes waiting for me in each one as well as a very open minded and discreet staff of maids, chefs and a chauffeur. Naturally all of the penthouses would have spectacular views like the one you pictured. :)

I can see why you would love it. That place is gorgeous!!!
Ben and I were just talking today that if we ever get the chance and can afford it, we'd be moving to Maui in no time. It's been over a year since our visit there and we still dream about it!

i was in chicago once. the weather was perfect, and i fell in love and considered maybe SOMEDAY living there. but everyone i know told me it was a FLUKE that there was perfect weather for me, and that the summers and winters in chicago are simply horrendous. so, i stay where i am. and maybe visit that fab city every now and again. :)
