Game of Threads

My fiance is obsessed with "Game of Thrones". And yes, I know everyone and their mom is obsessed with GOT right now (me including) but he's actually an authentic fan who long knew of the story before HBO. He's read the series 3 times now, he wakes up in the middle of the night freaking out that George R.R. Martin will never complete the story (and even hopes Georgie is eating a better diet to take care of himself and live longer) and he is just bloody obsessed. I'm lazy and am obsessed with GOT through him/the TV show- but he's a reader. And an obsessed, emphatic one at that. So he definitely gets to claim that as 'his'. (PS: Do other couples battle over who gets to 'claim' what? ... nope? Moving along...)

I stopped at H&M last week as I was on my lunch break. I saw this dress on their mannequin in the front and decided to give it a whirl.

I tried it on in the dressing room and just kept thinking how it couldn't be any less me... but then... I realized what the style was reminiscent of:
So I bought it. I bought it as a present to my obsessed lil' beau who wishes Dragons existed and that he could have a beer with Jamie Lannister. I bought it to bring a little shred of that world to him.

His response when I put it on: "That's a crazy look for you."

Yes, dear. It is. Because I bought it for you.

MONDAY (no 'happy').

haha you go all out, nice. Not sure I'd want dragons to exist though. But yeah, Martin may never get the books done and die of a heart attack, he isn't in very good shape.

LOL...That sounds like something my hubby would say also. They sometimes just don't get it at all!

haha you're a sweet fiance and you definitely get major points for this!
I really want to start watching GOT (I started reading the first book already) so now I really want to see it!
Netflix needs to get on that!

I've never seen Game of Thrones so from my perspective the two of you have claimed it for yourselves as a couple. I love the light airy look and the colour of your orange H&M Game of Thrones dress! I'm sure everyone loves claiming things as their own. It's nice that Joel has read the series. I hope your week goes brilliantly.

Ha! That's amazing. What a great fiance you are :) Ryan is obsessed with the show. I sort of watch it in the background when Ryan has it on, but it's a bit much for me. I do love the women's fashion though!!

I can relate to what he said--I wish we guys had a "reverse time" button for such occasions. Of course such an option may be used as well for dragon slaying.

Love that show! And that dress! I wish I could wear long dresses like that, but I'm a shorty :( It looks so fabulous on you though!

Haha, I love this. Very sweet that you would do a mini dress up for him, also it really suits you, so that's a bonus ;)

Haha, nice! Well, when it comes to that show and a few others that have been a super hype lately, I have decided to wait a few months and get addicted to them myself, because I know, I will be watching/ reading from end to end.

Also, nice threads, lady.

Why do you keep saying you're going to come back and blog, and then you never do? Either come back, or don't. But can you please stop posting about how much you miss blogging and how busy your life is, and stop promising to come back and then disappearing again for another like six weeks?

Hi Ashley. A fair point! I haven't 'posted' anything yet but I'm working behind to get it all good to go. I have actually long planned on returning the Monday after Thanksgiving (aka this) weekend. I have been removing labels, cutting out stuff, etc. Anyway, stuff you can't see yet. But you're right! I didn't want to half-ass it and then have nothing in place and fall behind again- hence why I said "under construction". I totally get your comment and feel the same, just trying to do it right this time.
