This week was a no recipe week as I kinda wanted to get my food prep done as soon as I could. So I went with old faithful cooking what I know.
Grilled Chicken & Steak:
First I grabbed some steak & chicken from Trader Joe's. Brought it home and immediately marinated it in lime juice, soy sauce and dry seasonings (salt, pepper, oregano). I, again, hated handling raw meat. lkajdflakdjflka!

I also made five Yams to go with this meal (my workouts this week need more starch) . I didn't take a picture of that but you basically boil them for 20ish minutes and then peel and dice.
Basil/Lime/Cilantro Rice:
Make rice under regular instruction.
When rice is cooked, add salt/pepper and handfuls of cilantro & basil.
Then squeeze the juice of 2 limes and pour it over the rice then mix (a version of this recipe).
Pause:

Juicin' & Snacks:
Final Product & Packed Lunches:
So much deliciousness.
Whenever I pack our lunches, I usually discount Friday (I figure buying a new lunch that day is kinda an end-of-week treat) and then determine if Jay and/or Me have any lunch meetings or anything else that week which would make lunch that day useless. Then, I pack the remaining balance.
Sweet Potatoes on the side since they're a bit moist (everyone hates that word, sorry!).
Greek Yogurt
My usual: Greek Yogurt, a berry, natural coconut flakes, some honey & some cinnamon. Makes for a tasty breakfast every single morning. I could eat these forever.
So our grocery total for all of the above was $82.
That's about eight dollars a day for each of us for our morning to pre-dinner food.
Well worth it!

I love this!!!! Minus the cilantro. Me and cilantro have a bad history. Haha I thought of you yesterday I did my cooking. I didn't go as healthy as you, but I did make enough sauce and meatballs to last a month. Haha
The basil lime cilantro rice with yams on the side sounds good to me. So does that Greek yogurt with berries, coconut, honey and cinnamon.

@jax I think people either really love or really hate cilantro! And yum about meatballs!!! Sounds so good right now.
@PB: Such a healthy eater!
That yoghurt is DEFINITELY my favourite. I would eat the whole week's supply for Monday's breakfast.
