3 Things I Will Do In My Next Life

 1) Arrive at the gym at 5 AM

I have finally managed a workout routine that allows me to get a good workout at lunch if I need to. HOWEVER, I live two blocks away from my gym (2 blocks!). If I could just rouse myself at 4:55, I could be at the gym at 5:01 AM, workout for 40 minutes, come back, walk the dog (which I do in the mornings at about 5:40 AM) and just be done with it. Truly, truly, truly- this annoys me about myself to no end.

2) Cultivate an amazing urban garden
^My Patio (on girls' wine night)
I know there's a way to create an amazing little patio garden in a downtown environment. And I know that a lot of people construct incredible ones on their fire escape windows or little window boxes. I have an entire large (downtown large, not normal large) patio and I can't figure it out or take the time to actually focus on it. I went to Home Depot once to get a bunch of potters. It was a great use of my money: Only $20 for Six Pots!!! They then sat in my car for eight months and then I threw them away. I just love how much I follow my dreams!

3) Buy all my Christmas presents by the end of Fall.

Every single year, I tell myself that starting in September, each paycheck, I will buy presents for 1-2 people on my list. So not only will the payments be staggered out but I'll be done early AND I will not have such a financial hit in December. It's legitimately the best idea ever. But I have nevvvvvver managedddd to do it. Ever. And every year in December, as I spend $XXXXXXXXX amount on presents in one day, I rue the day I was born.

What will you do in your next life?

haha who wants to get up that early though? But I agree, having it done and over with is nice. I got #3 down, always done ahead of time. I think I'd rather come back as a spoiled rotten dog or cat.

I have tried, many times, to go to the gym before work but I have come to the conclusion that I much prefer going after work. It's a great wind-down to the end of the day. I actually love buying my Christmas presents when it's cold during December because it's much more Christmassy!! Have a super weekend Caitlin!!

haha love that you threw out the pots...but why? a little garden on your patio sounds amazing specially when you have such a gorgeous looking one!
also girl you are crazy with the 5 o'clock gym plan I wake up at 6 to work out and I thought that was nuts but I hope you eventually reach your goal!
I would become better at planning my future in my next life :)

I don't think I'll be able to arrive at the gym at 5 AM in ANY of my lifes. Hahaha! So cruel to wake up this early!

What I do is set aside $20 from my paycheck every week and that covers all my gifts for the year - Christmas, birthdays and miscellaneous It gives me about $1000 to play with each year.

Some years I hit #3. This was not one of them. I have too black of a thumb to try anything but one plant on our city patio. And waking up before five is not an option. Maybe I'd be more a morning person if I got my endorphins early, but the world will never know.

We could all be more productive and organized. But we have to remember all the things we're rocking in this life too. :) And you're rocking a lot of them!

I also love the idea of hitting the gym early in the morning, my plan is to start doing that in March or so, when the days are longer. Although it might be postponed to my next life. One never knows.

Girl, I wish I could hit the gym at some point in the 25 hr day...hahaha.

A patio garden?? Yess!!! I think you should buy them again and try again. It would make a great blogging entry! As far as the xmas shopping thing, starting in October, I try to buy a gift a week. That makes it easier to spend cash and not max out the cards. :)
