The Simple Consistency of Lips

I have come to really love lips. And for one very simple reason.
^At my bachelorette party in Vegas in August.
No matter what, they always look the same. Always.

My eyes will divulge how tired I am right away and sometimes cease to provide normal function. My hair (after years of abuse) is prone to looking like something pulled from a drain. My body can take a whole other form if I decide to slack just a little tinnny bit. My skin can be a brand new surface on any given morning. Just about everything else on my person can turn on me at a moment's notice. But my lips, just simply never fail to look just as they are. And I really have come to appreciate them for that level of consistency.

Three cheers for lips!
(And ten cheers for lipsticks of course. The butter to that delicious bread.)

But what if it gets really cold and they get chapped? Then they look a little different. haha

My lips are ALWAYS under the weather. I have this gross habit that I'm totally going to regret admitting on the internet, but I pick them when they get chapped. Sometimes they even bleed! Thank GOODNESS for Maybelline Baby Lips otherwise I might not have any lip left.

P.S. Did you ever watch Veggie Tales Larry the Cucumber sing I Love My Lips???? You must!

Such a good point! Lips don't gain weight! Mine could use some TLC from time to time. They get SO dry in winter. I just bought Sugar from Sephora b/c everyone raves about it so I can't wait to try it!

Hey, some people don't have the luxury of stable lips. They have to deal with dryness and cracking :P
