Good luck finding him. Who said anything about "him"?

Unlike the uneducated population of women who look to R.L. for their understanding of their own gender: I highly value a valiant female role model.
^Chandler (my dire wolf, obvy) & Khaleesi on my shirt.

One who embodies all that I hold dear and nods at a person I wish I could be: Strength, conviction, stalwartness, beautiful, loyal. I love me a gal like this.

Especially in my entertainment.
Which is one of the main reasons that I love "Game of Thrones". And one of the main reasons that I was excited to chill on Sunday with my very own dire wolf and gear up for the new season of it. I have two main SHEROES in that show: Khaleesi & Arya.

I feel personally empowered as I watch Daeneyrs work on her steady rise to overtaking the world. I love the fact that she always looks slamming, I love that her feminitiy shines through not only in her dress but in her reign: Compassion + Power have never looked so good. I also love to imagine that we are kindred spirits with our shared attachment to animals. The girl lives for her dragons and I am fairly, mildly, borderline obsessed with my very own little creature.
And ... Arya. Wow, what can you even say about that dire-wolf owning chick besides get goosebumps envisioning all that she has accomplished and all that she will? You know those weird moments when your mind drifts off to how you would be if the world ended or if zombies came or if an 'Act of God' leveled life as we know it? It's easy to quickly fabricate a vision of what you would do or how you would respond. If I am half as cool as Arya, half as much of a bad@ss, half as much as a mother&%$^ing warrior as her - I think I'd fare pretty well.
So anyway ... I hope you had a great weekend!

I did and I didn't. I didn't because beginning Friday night I had a HUGE migraine rested right above my right eyebrow (my dad's side of the family all suffers from them and sometimes they hit me). And there it sat. All weekend long. Allllll weekend long. It hurt. I needed sleep. And I needed minimal light. Ugh. Migraines are the worst.
But I did have a good weekend as well because truly, my dog reminded me (again) how happy I am to have him. With Jay gone in Europe & me incapacitated by my headache, I reveled in having someone here to cuddle with, talk to and just love. He was just the best. And by Sunday when I was finally feeling a bit better and we both went out into the world to get some fresh air- I felt like I was just hanging out with a friend.
 ^Chandler's best derpy face

What can I say? I'm an animal person ... which is precisely why I'm pulling for my two best girls this season. And precisely why I couldn't stop myself from posting all 7,000 pics of the two of us...
 ^The anatomy of a yawn.

Let's do this ladies.
(PS: Honorable Mention goes to Brienne because she's crazy amazing as well)

An animal person is a good way to be. Not sure I'd want to ever own dragons though haha Both have sure been through a lot on that show

I don't watch GoT, but a friend of mine named her dog Arya! Safe to say she's an animal person and a fan.

Sorry about the migraine, I'm glad you could get out with your pal on Sunday!

LOVE GOT for its awesome female characters! Arya is the best, I love her storyline and hate any episodes that don't feature her. Can't wait to get my hands on the latest ep :)

My brother loves Game of Thrones. He lent me the DVDs but I am still on the fence about it. Hmmmmm
