One of the last group events I had at my apartment was wine club. It was my turn to host which meant that I was in charge of all food and ambience- while each girl had to bring a bottle of wine. These are our wine club rules after many years of various clubs where we ended up with like 50 different appetizers with no cohesion and wayyyy too many bags of chips. So, when you host it- it obviously is a little more expensive to provide all of the food. However, when you're just in attendance, it's a delight as you just have to scoop up a bottle of wine. [Sidenote: We are no longer allowed to bring gas station wine after Miranda the matriarch noted how many people were showing up with Circle K's finest in an effort to not be late after poor planning. Womp, womp.]

Going with an Italian theme, I served meatballs with marinara, spinach salad & pesto ravioli. As we all noshed away, sipped varietals and soaked up the the very warm Oregon night out on the patio- I felt like I never wanted summer to end.
^What is prettier than a summer salad? This one was raspberries, goat cheese and slivered almonds over a bed of spinach.
That was until the next morning as I got ready for work in 90+ degree heat and my skin started melting into the shape of the Scream mask and I was all: Mmmmkk, I'm ready for the next seasonal course, m'lady.
