Little Things Lately ...

Adoring// witnessing Jay's busy week! Actually this week was crazy for both of us. After settling-in at my new office, the workload at my desk is coming in hot + I had relatives in town. But really, Jay had his first huge week of work at his new gig and I loved every second of his excitement for it. We kicked-off Monday morning by taking an Uber to his drop-off point at 7 AM and then I walked the few blocks to work after kissing him goodbye. Proud of him & love him.

Missing//  My poor dog. He had what I can only imagine was the worst week ever. We haven't found him a doggy daycare yet down here so until we do, he's in the house all day while we work without the usual socialization break-up that daycare provides. And then we each had nightly plans so he was just alone a lot more than usual. And every time I put my shoes on to leave yet again and his eyes grew to the size of a globe in anticipation of coming with, I wanted to melt into the fetal position and never leave his side. Trust me, he will be drowned in affection next week as an apology.

Loving// All my walks down here! Every street is new and every change in direction is new. Each time I turn a corner I get to admire new houses, new flowers, new landscapes. It has been a lovely way to spend my weekday nights on my walks with the pup.

Regretting// this post. As clearly my words came back to haunt me when I was Miss Whinerson as Jay checked-in on me the week of my SF arrival when he was in New York. Ooooopsie. Can't a girl complain about something without being accosted by reason sometimes?

Wanting//  A break from furniture purchasing and moving. We have the essentials right now but still need a credenza and some shelves to finalize the decluttering. However, I'm gonna wait to find those non-immediate essentials (but eventually needed!) until October. Phew, I just must request a break.

Hosting//  My first guest! In that crappy image above, I am taking a picture while my Mom excitedly drinks in my office view of the Bay Bridge. It's nice to have something new to show others - I always love, love, love visiting places my friends have moved. Happy to be able to host for once and enthused for more visitors to come.

Anyway, that's all I got for this very "San Francisco" themed Little Things Lately. But that is kinda my world this week.

Have a great one and I'll "see" you Monday.

Sure sounds like a busy week. Poor pup never getting to go. The cats get ticked off if I leave multiple times a day haha they aren't inclined to have guests either.

My dogs look at me all wounded when I go to take my kid to school (which only takes at most twenty minutes). Definitely pile on the loving on that pooch, asap! :)

Congrats on the new office! Staying busy at work is a good thing as long as it doesn't stress you out. Happy Friday! Hope you have a nice weekend planned :)

Poor pup! I feel guilty leaving mine even to get the mail... which is at the bottom of the steps! lololol Sometimes it just can't be helped though!

Complaining is often fun. I often do it just to be funny.

Don't feel bad for complaining. Sometimes it just needs to be done. Crazy week. I'm very glad that you are enjoying San Francisco though. It's so pretty!

I always feel terrible when my dogs don't get a lot of time with me. I try to make it up to them. We've traveled a lot this summer, some with them, but we won't go away without them again until January! Anywhere we go between now and then, they'll be coming with us.
