If My Grandma Had Used Instagram

With the loss of my paternal Grandma in 2011, I officially became grandparentless :( Which sucks! What's better than a grandparent!? I miss them all dearly and wish so much that I had more time with them as an adult to pick their brains and soak in as much family history as I can. But since I can't do that anymore (tear), I often look to images of the past to try and decipher who they were long before me. I was looking at images of my dad's mom recently and wondered how these all would have come into play if she was posting them live on her iPhone. Here's a little guess using her own images and some modern technology ...
^That is my dad on the right. Not gonna lie: Pretty bummed I didn't get his legs. #dafaq

Well, that was fun for me - perhaps I'll do another post with my maternal Nana down the road.

Have a fabulous Monday/last day of November!

omg this is precious! I lost my one grandpa at age 6, and the other died before I was even born. My maternal grandma died in 2010 and I only have my paternal grandma now. So i know what you mean girl. Hugs!

haha some fun captions you used, hand all the kids and run. Good idea. If they had instagram back then it would probably take 10 hours to load one picture.

I love this post idea! We lost my grandfather earlier this year, and just listening to all of his stories about growing up and all of the experiences he had were so much fun. I really miss him too. I just can't even imagine what my grandparents would have put on social media when they were younger, it would be pretty funny I'm sure!

I love this! So sweet. Love the blue dress she wore at her wedding. I've lost all my grandparents too, though I didn't know them much (they all lived in Russia). I would have loved to hear their stories, though!

Ummm this might be the cutest thing ever!!! My grandmother that I was closest to passed away when I was in high school. I am so with you on wishing I had some adult time with her to learn all about our family history. My dad never seemed to ask the important questions because he knows nothing and it makes me sad.

Grandparents are seriously the best and I have always loved looking at their old time pictures to imagine how life was back in those days. I also became grandparent-less back in 2010 and it was a sad time. I always love their stories and reliving the old days.
