The "Things" That Make The Girl

Lately, there's been more than a few things that have gotten my new year off with an extra pep in my step. To be honest, when you look at your company's holiday calendar and see that there's not an official office closure until Memorial Day ... you can use any type of energy you can get your hands on. And here's what those have been to me:

Big, dope head phones for weight lifting at the gym with basically surround sound. Rich, succulent, vibrant pomegranate seeds for turning my basic little yogurt cup into something extraordinary. Britney Spears: "Blackout" album Some of her best work is on this CD's playlist and boy has it ever been helpful to have at the gym Raw Coconut Meat has been a staple in our home since 1/1. Seriously helps with the desire to eat bad food late at night and its odd texture is surprisingly fun to chew into. Face Shimmer Since I'm so dry, pale and chalky during this time of year. Gives me a little pep to avoid looking like Olaf. To-Do List I don't know why but I've been on point with my daily 'to-dos' this year. At work especially, where I power through the assignment just to have the sweet, sweet feeling of crossing it off my list right after. Hot Tea My treasured evening friend and a warm cup of happiness at the office. What a splendid invention. Ralph Lauren 'Romance' Lotion Yes, you read that right. I found an old bottle of it from circa 2001 and I've committed to using it until it's gone. So every morning when I put it on my legs, I'm immediately taken back to high school. Pink MAC lipstick Because, duh. Batiste Dry Shampoo Girl, all I can say is that I'm so thankful for this product. Sewing because tis the season to notice all the missing buttons on your jackets! Long, tight skirts The best of both worlds, conservative and stylish all in one, I dig it. Long-Sleeved crop tops because they pair just so well with the aforementioned. And finally, High pumps for tying it altogether.

What things have been rocking your world lately?

Peppermint tea, Blistex Lip Medix, oregano essential oil, Lash Sensational Luscious.

I love that you found an old bottle of Romance lotion. I often revisit my former perfume loves. Some I've never stopped wearing (Estee Lauder Beautiful) and some I have enjoyed anew (Calvin Klein Escape).

I've never tried the batiste dry shampoo, but I seriously don't know where'd I'd be without dry shampoo period! And I got my very first pair of MAC lipstick for Christmas this year, and I'm in love! It's just so pretty! And where would we women be without heels? They instantly make you feel more fabulous!

LOVE that Britney album! Sorry that your company doesn't have any time off until Memorial Day.. that is a loooong time to go without a long weekend. Sounds like you need to plan a getaway or a staycation to help break it up <3
