Hello, Monday.

Happy Monday, everyone!
Well just like I wrote on Friday, the rain did in fact lend itself well to having a productive weekend. Saturday morning started off with lattes in bed and noshing on a crunchy toasted bagel topped off with cream cheese and avocado. We listened to the rain cascade against our patio as Chandler snuggled in at our feet under the blankets. It was slow, quiet and just plain relaxing. Shortly after, I roused myself to make good on my word on making use of this rainy day. I took every single thing we owned out of the closet, reorganized, rehung, made a donate pile and made the whole thing a heck of a lot more workable. I vacuumed the living room carpet, I scrubbed sinks, I streamlined memory tubs we have. And this was all capped-off with a spinning/lifting workout. In the evening as I showered off the dust from my chores and the sweat from my exercise, I felt incredibly good. While most of San Francisco complained about the break from the ever-present sun, I thanked my lucky stars for it. An organized, clean home is the gift that keeps on giving and sunny weekends endlessly call you away from that!

But (also like I said) the weekend wasn't without some fun. We capped off Saturday night with a ridiculously delicious meal at Picaro Tapas in The Mission District (and ate some astounding paella) with some friends followed with some late night dancing at one of my favorite places here, Double Dutch. A Saturday with a foot in both practical and entertaining worlds and it was nothing shy of great.

And now it's Sunday. And after a morning hair appointment, some shopping, some TV and some Chandler time, I'm now settled in to a new view to get my blogging for the week done and that itself is fun to me.
^Made Jay take these pics of me blogging for my blog, like the true blogger I am. So this is what I look like at this moment typing. Sidenote: If this page is ever a drinking game, a good word to pick is "blog". And probably also "yummy" since that's seemingly the only word in my arsenal to describe food.
^I also rediscovered photo booth which I forgot about. And my finger is not dirty, I couldn't stop itching my head when the hair dye was setting and now it's a lovely 50 shades of grey. Boo.
Sometimes I think it's important to smile at the rain. Literally and figuratively.

Have a great start to your week!

Oh my goodness you got so much stuff done this weekend, and made great use of all the rain that San Fran got! That's also awesome that you had the chance to not only do adult things like clean and organize, but also go out and see friends too! It sounds like you had the perfect combo this weekend!

Rain sure can help out, from cleaning to helping with drought. Nice clean place is grand indeed. Haha wow, you have a lot of shortcuts on your screen. Blog away at your bay.

I was going to closet and deep clean this weekend but it was so nice I cleaned up the yard instead. I really need to get on it before the really warm weather sets in and I don't feel like being inside at all.

Great job on cleaning out the closet. I so need to do that and soon. It's almost time to put the winter clothing away! Yay!

I always struggle to be productive on the weekends. Always. I really love your laptop color!

I am a chronic itcher when the dye is in.

Way to get a great balance of productive/relaxing/social. That's what I always strive for!

When it rains I literally get the most done! I use the word yummy to describe any good food lol! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

Cleaning and purging your stuff always feels sooo good. I'm really bad at my food adjectives too. Michael loves to cook, and he always asks my opinion but apparently, "It's good," followed by, "It's REALLY good," when he asks how good is not enough!

Wow! I need to drink what you're drinking so I can accomplish all of that...! I have to admit, I am so damn lazy, even if its rainy outside... I'll just stay in bed and watch TV as that's the only time I get any tv watching in!!

I love nothing more than to listen to rain!! I hope at our next house we have a covered deck so I can sit out and listen to it because it truly is so relaxing. Sounds like you had the perfect, balanced weekend and got done lots of stuff!

you did so much! but most importantly, a bagel covered in cream cheese. yummmmmmy. that is definitely my favourite word to describe food.

Nothing worse than cleaning/organizing like that... but nothing BETTER than the feeling after it's all done!

I would have never noticed your died finger!! Lol too funny. I firmly believe rainy days are made for cleaning. Kudos to you for making them productive instead of lazy. :)
