The Sun. The Brixton.

^Views at The Brixton two weekends ago. A place peppered with orchid flowers, cascading gold mantels and high ceilings.

I tell you, weekends here still feel like we're on vacation. That is in large part to the fact that every place we go is new and also because the sun is always out. I guess my Northwest is showing because every time I talk to one of my LA friends about how hot it is in SF they counter with how cold it's known to be. Well, trust me you Californians, while SF is not as hot as SoCal, it's a heck of a lot sunnier than what most of the country is used to this time of year. And as a result, poor, recent transplants end up having a sun-soaked, Saturday morning brunch after just going out to grab some coffee: The sun is a siren song.  Which is what we did at The Brixton in Cow Hollow two weekends ago, much to our smiley happiness.

But thankfully, it's supposed to be rainy this weekend which lends itself well to more practical activities such as working out, tidying-up and organizing (with some fun here and there, no doubt) which is what I at least hope to do before more of California puts me under its enchanting, 'get outside and eat, it's the weekend and you work hard! spell.

Have a great one all.

So the rain is a counter spell? lol

Funny how some think it is cold there. Come here and they'll know cold.

I have to admit, I'd probably be one of those people that would think that San Fran is cold right now, but I would still be basking in the sun all the time! There's just something about not wanting to adult when it's that beautiful outside!

When we first moved to FL, we couldn't get over how beautiful the weather was year round and were always out trying to enjoy it. But it didn't make way for lazy weekends at home or getting things done! Enjoy the rainy weekend and all things adulting <3

I can only imagine the amazing weather that you are having right now!!! It is supposed to be sunny and the upper 60's here this weekend and I am excited!!! But I love rainy weekends sometimes too because it is perfect for getting stuff down around the house! And by stuff I mean Netflix. Obviously. Enjoy your weekend!!!

'my Northwest is showing' hahahaha. it does always look amazing there in your photos, but i guess now that i think about it, i always thought it was rainy and cold. in fact, everyone i know who has been to san fran and melbourne says it's a lot like melbourne, especially weather wise. i've not been, so i wouldn't know. anyway. not that i spend a lot of time outside, but i am hoping for rain this weekend because i feel like it will maybe make me more productive with cleaning and decluttering the house. maybe.

It must be fun trying new places every weekend and well a good brunch spot is always a staple. I've always loved the weather in SF.

I know what you mean about wanting to be out when the sun is out! Here in Chicago all I want to do is play when the sun finally shows itself! Haha.

I hear you...when you come from a place that is usually cold at this time of year, you are out basking way more than the natives! The sun is indeed a siren. ENJOY IT!
