What's New With You | Link-Up

Answering Kristen & Gretchen again today in their monthly question of: What's New With You?

What’s New With Me? All the money on work clothes!
Okay, well not ALL the money. But as I've noted here, I've recently made a point to bring my work wardrobe up a notch. I think I was remiss in doing this before I moved to San Francisco and I plan to make up for it now. The environment here is different and I think I need to rid myself of many of the pieces I deemed okay in my twenties. B*tch, you are in your 30s. Amp it up to that.

What’s New With Me? All the money (soon"ish") on interiors!
It's been years since I had a bedroom that I wanted to spend a ton of time in. Living in city spaces leaves little, if any, space for any type of storage. So while we've always tried to keep our living room a nice space, the bedroom has been where things have been crammed into boxes and shoved on top of shelves, etc. However, lately I have been seduced by KonMari and realized how little of this stuff I need. Therefore, I am making my way through all of this storage to reduce it to just the essentials. When I am done doing that (which will take a few months), it is time to make the bedroom a place I want to be. Even the prospect of this excites me and I cannot stop researching items I want. However, I will buy nothing until the organizing is done so it will serve as a nice dangling carrot.

What’s New With Me? Maps, maps and maps.
Like pretty much everyone I talk to, maps have such a special place in my heart. I could stop and look at them for hours. I have always, always, always looked into how I could incorporate one prominent one into my home at some point. And, in keeping with the above, that's definitely something I hope to fill the space with.

What’s New With Me? Wanting to know how to do my hurrrr.
Like for riiiiiilllll, why can't a girl just blow dry her hair? I just can't seem to get it right on my own or I lose interest/my arms lose blood halfway through and I give up.

Thanks Kristen & Gretchen for such a fun link-up.

oooh i really like that top, and the bag. super cute. also, the bed. yes. that's a good idea to keep it as a reward type thing for decluttering and organising and all that jazz. i really need to do that, we have a junk room that is just insane and i can't do anything with the room until i first get rid of all the crap. i was reading reviews about that amika blow out spray stuff the other day (on birchbox i think?) and everyone was going on like it was the most amazing thing since sliced bread, so i really want to try it because i'm with you. i legit could not blow dry my hair to save my life haha. thanks for linking up with us lovely!

I could not tell you the last time I used a blow dryer.

High five for getting rid of all the things. Sometimes I hold on to too much. Like now. So I'm in an everything must go period.

So many awesome finds! I'll take your work wardrobe (especially that necklace - gorgeous) and your interior decorating skills. Ooooh and all the maps and globes. I've always been fascinated by maps, and could stare at them endlessly. I love seeing where I've been in this big beautiful world, and where else I'd like to go and piecing together where certain places are.

Chucking sure is a win for my ocd. It would be neat to have a map somehow hanging in a home too.

I like that jacket and the skirt. I feel like wearing a bow tie on my neck all day may cause the bow tie to get ripped off by me at some point, but it's cute.

Girl, if you figure out the art of a blow dryer, please post about it! Hahaha and yess to amping up your work wardrobe. Unfortunately, most Americans are work more often than not. So us ladies should look fabulous for it. Lol

Loving your new work outfits! So chic and grown up! And I can't seem to figure out how to do my hair either! I don't have the patience for it I think, plus it gets so hot blow drying it straight!

I hate the blow dryer but have to use otherwise my hair will turn into a hot mess if I let it air dry. Stylists are so good at getting my hair to look somewhat straight with a hair dryer & I wish I could do the same! I need to de-clutter too! Apartment living doesn't have much storage either so yes, our bedroom is the same way!

I have fallen in love with that bed...!! Gorgeous!! And the lamp!! I do love maps as well, was thinking of getting a framed city map for each city I've lived in and make a wall out of that... Or who knows?!?

I gave up blow drying awhile back! It's horrible for my hair anyway (bleached out blonde here). Have a great week!! Xxoo
