More Like Janecessary

Tis the month of my very favorrrrrittttteeeee thingggggsss.

Otherwise known wearing as workout clothes, sneakers, backpacks and comfy sweatshirts. All over town. All.over.town. And if I had it my way, all said clothes would be drenched in rich blacks, slate silvers and other monochromatic symphonies. This month, I plan to wear such things while I scale the Lyon Street Steps, walk the Golden Gate Bridge and play fetch with my puppy on the Marina Greens.

I'm always so sad to dismantle my Christmas tree and shove my big, red Christmas storage tub into the back of the closet. However, it does feel refreshing to free yourself from the holiday mindset and start getting back on track. I'm really craving it and have enjoyed this week of health so far. Which has made my colleagues and I crack up when we discuss how just utterly proud we are of all of our working out, not drinking and eating right choices we've been making ... for 3 whole days!! I mean, wow - go us! ;)

Dear January,
Please never forget:
You is kind (on my wallet). You is smart (for forcing a dial back the indulgence). And you is important (for righting all the wrongs of November/December).

Love always,
Someone who always starts this month looking like Violet from Willy Wonka

Haha! We're doing a no spend January this month, and I'm very much looking forward to having a cheap month compared to December! And hopefully making right choices in the eating and working out department too!

I look like Violet too.

No shopping for me this month! I'm cleaning out my closet.

Violet from Willy Wonka LOL!!! I am with you, I am sad to take down the Christmas stuff because the holidays are over...but so ready to have my house back in order and all the space!! And I have basically been living in leggings the last several weeks. I am trying to stay on Whole 30 this month and not spend any money that isn't necessary. Let's rock January!

i definitely look like violet right now. i feel like november/december are just full of all the bad (but awesome!) things so you really do feel like you've accomplished a lot by working out and eating right for a few days!
