Window Seat

For someone who loves being on my laptop, writing a blog, editing pictures, zoning out, eating out AND lives in a vibrant AF city - I'm awfully bad at taking my laptop out for drinks and a meal. Horrible boyfriend, am I. And seeing how I love a combination of all the items listed above, not heading to a cafe to satisfy my creative side while perched against a huge window is something about myself that really bothers me. One of those things I always say I like to do, always plan to do but then never actually carve out time to actually do on a regular basis. Darnit, ME. Why you gotta be all talk and no action?

So last Sunday, I did it. My laptop, my camera, my sunglasses and my walking shoes roved the Mission District until I could find a place to just be. With me. And my technological loves. And it was there with that view that I sat for over four hours. Doing some work. Indulging my creativity. Sipping some tea. Eating some gnocchi. Toasting some champagne once 4 came around. Watching the passerbys. Conversing with other patrons. Immersing in my city.

And it was a mighty fine date if you ask me. Definitely gonna call that chick again (after waiting 3 days, I'm not a monster after all).

Having a spot to go and just be with the tech and thee and everyone around, can be nice to be found.

I have never taken my lap top anywhere to get some work done and that is such a shame because I think a change of scenery can really be a great thing to get the creative juices flowing!

I bet that I would be so much more focused if I worked at an actual table instead of sitting on my couch in front of a tv. Although, I might see something outside the window and get distracted! It does sound like an amazing way to spend a Sunday though!

I love immersing myself in my city. Your date sounds awesome, but seriously, observe the three day've got to play it cool.

Sounds like a fabulous place to post up and enjoy everything in front of you - food, tea, your computer, passerbys - and just get your creativity flowing. In a city as beautiful as San Francisco, I'm sure you have so many other places like this you can enjoy!
